Message From Bonnie - Week of September 22nd
Hey Everyone,
This past week was full of joy. Famous celebs, puppies, children, Elmo, and of course the inspiring courageous stories of good people like Richard King and his late wife Maggie.
My mom will be visiting via iChat on Monday. I'm so fortunate to still have Mom guiding and encouraging me. To all the Moms who are with us, who are in heaven and who are facing each day's challenges, my hat goes off to you.
To all those Dads out there, keep up the good work, and know that you are an important influential example to your children.
I lost my own dear Father when I was 19 years old, he is forever in my heart and I miss him. I know he's in heaven talking it up, and smiling upon me. He is my constant guardian angel.
Monday is my birthday, I will have the delight of talking to Dean Martin's own daughter Deana, on the show. It is a gift that Deana would take time to share my stage in remembrance of her talented and loving father.
Mark Harmon, from CBS' 'NCIS,' is also on Monday. Mark is a kind wonderful man, and I'm thrilled he is taking time to be on my show.
We can also look forward to 11-year-old Jacob Brockhoff, who makes a choice to face his medical hurdles with grace. He also adds his own generous creative contribution to others facing similar heart ailments. Can't wait till we surprise him with a visit from his "skateboarding hero."
Thank you for all your thoughtful messages, have a fantastic week!
Best,
Bonnie
Bonnie!
Rock on, girlfriend! Your show has taken over Martha Stewart's spot...thank goodness! Love what you got going-keep it up. Today you played the story game with the audience and John (I think that's his name) was the angry host. I love him! He seems like a hilarious dude and even his dancing cracks me up. Get him to do more camera time...he's easy on the eyes.
Hi Bonnie, I love your show. I have a great little story about my grandmother. She always sent all three of us kids a birthday card every year. In her last fews years, she would know there was a birthday that month but forget who, so she would just guess. So sometimes my brother would get my card, and I would get my sister's. We always looked forward to getting that special card.
best wishes
Dear Bonnie and editors/writers who will read this,
I had seen a huge highway bulletin board about the Bonnie Hunt show and was super bummed because I would never catch it at 10am est since I am a 2nd grade teacher. Then, as my luck would have I contracted strep throat, a 100.8 fever and sinusitis! Lucky me (ahahaha) I got to catch the show this morning, Tuesday, 9/23/08.
I've loved your comedy and natural humor forever, but in the Cheaper by the Dozen movies with Steve Martin, I just absolutely loved you! You are so funny and so entertaining and I'm so happy that you have your own show that one day, I hope I myself, once a lot better, can make my way out to see!!! CA is on my list of places to visit, so now you are too! Great show today with Benjamin Bratt.... wish I could be out all week to see all of your guests, but, educating young minds calls.... hahaha. Anyway- KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! LOVE THE SHOW- CAN'T WAIT UNTIL CHRISTMAS BREAK TO WATCH MORE OF IT!
Congratulations!
Shannon C. from Boston, Massachusetts :)
Dear Bonnie:
I thoroughly enjoy your show and was moved when you spoke about your canine kid. I have a service dog named Sasquatch, a soon-to-be 10 year old Otter Hound. He is currently in remission from a brain tumor neoplasia. I thought you would like to see him in action as he solves the problem of being vertically challenged as he desperately wants his Kong toy that has a cookie in it. Here is his website page with the videos:

Here is a video when Sasquatch was featured on New Hampshire Chronicle a couple of years ago and it shows him doing laundry and taking out the trash:

Dear Bonnie: I LOVE YOUR SHOW!!!! It is great having you back. Your great personality, humor and wholesomeness is so refreshing. YOU ARE WHAT TV HAS NEEDED FOR A LONG, LONG TIME. You are a beautiful woman and have a great figure -- show off more of it in some dresses - not criticizing - just making a statement. No matter what you wear, I tune in to watch and listen to you --we all need some good news and fun these days and you sure come through. Keep up the good work -- My daughters feel the same way and they tape it and watch it when they get home at night.
Cloris Leachman was hysterical and your reactions were priceless. Do you get the feeling I really enjoy you --- well you are right. You go girl!!!!
Sincerely, Jeanette
Dear Bonnie,
I have been a fan of yours for quite some time now. Until I read your Bio, I didn't realize how much I enjoyed all your work. Your show is a wonderful part of my day. I am a disabled Veteran of the first Gulf War, a stay home Dad, and confined to a wheel chair. Your show is like a visit from a friend. Thanks for being you.

Hey Bonnie, congratz on your new show, I've been watching you since Life with Bonnie days, I thought you were funny and great then as I do today. We have both Cheaper by the Dozen movies and my kids ages 12 & 8 consider them favorite movies.
I wanted to invite you and the show out to Dunedin, Fl for a few days. We are on the west coast, the next town north of Clearwater. Our beach, Caladesi Island was voted the BEST BEACH in the world and Dr. Beach is right, come visit and see this amazing Island, Dunedin (done-knee-din) can't wait for you to visit.
Thank you for being so down to earth and just so kind all the time, you are an amazing person. From one Catholic to another God Bless You!!!!!
I`m so happy you have your own show. You are one funny in the moment person. Ive been a fan for a long time. Wish you a long run your the best!!!!
You have been talking about the online dating. The man I am with now I actually met on a dating sight called plentyoffish.com . Are chemistry is amazing, we have a 4 month old daughter! internet is a very safe and easy way to get to know people as long as you take your time to get to know the person before you meet them or even talk on the phone. Before me and my boyfriend started dating i think we talked for a about a month before we met!
Hi Bonnie, thanks for the way you look at life. On your "birthday show" you made reference how important it is to bring pictures to nursing homes to let others see just who these elderly people were.
Our daughter died from liver cancer two years ago. On her last admission to the hospital, I filled one wall with pictures of the funny, crazy, beautiful person.
Before ANYONE would do any number of things to her, I asked them to look at the wall and see the real Amy. I didn't want them to see this jaundice, fraile 31 year old in the bed, but the wonderful person who would soon be leaving us.
It was amazing how their attitude changed.
Thanks for your humor, Amy would have loved you.
Hi Bonnie. I love your show!!!!!!!!! I think you are one of the funniest woman on the planet!!!!! I want to wish you all the best of luck and success with your show and all your future endeavours!!!!! How adorable is your mom? Now we know where you get that great sense of humor from. You were so great as Chrissy's mom in "Now and Then", and I loved you in the Cheaper by the Dozen movies. I love you sooooo much!!!!!!!
Good luck to Holly with her on line dating. Here's to her finding her mister right, or at least mister I guess he'll do. LOL!!!!
Thank you for putting a smile in my heart every day!!!!!! That's the best gift you could possibly give to anybody!!!!!!!
I too, lost my dad at a young age, and I feel the same way, that he's up there in heaven yucking it up with the guys and watching out over me. He is my guardian angel.

Love,
Sue ;-)

Hi Bonnie,
Your show is as awesome as you are. You are such a natural at being so funny. I record your show and watch it during my daycare kids naptime and I laugh so hard sometimes I wake them up. I heard your story about the birthday candles being reused, I thought everyone did that. I too come from a large catholic family of 6, I'm the youngest. My family would sometimes forget my birthday and I'd get a Devil Dog with a reused candle stuck in it and five bucks. They would always tell me they forget my birthday because I was adopted ....but I wasn't the one they wanted. Yes they love to torment me! Thanks for the laughs!! Alice

Dear Bonnie,
I have watched you show from the first day. May I say you are so refreshing and enjoyable. I love the fact that you are always positive and never critical of anyone. I love the fact that you never make fun of the president, or make ugly remarks about him.
My favorite show was the one with Mark Harmon. I dearly love NCIS, and everyone knows not to disturb me when his show is on. I also respect his privacy and his decision not to be in the limelight all the time. He is soooooooooooo good looking and a great actor. Thanks for having him on. Do it again any day.
I love you show and the way you treat everyone.
