Message from Bonnie - Week of January 5th

Hey Everybody,
Welcome back to a whole New Year! I hope you all had time to enjoy your families, friends, or just some well needed peace and quiet. I had a great time in Chicago with family for the holidays. I will talk more about that on Wednesday's show.
Okay, so Brian Williams on Tuesday!! Brian is a class act, a wonderful person, loving family man, talented newsman, and so wonderfully witty. Now that I have met him in person, (and his lovely wife, Jane) my 'TV crush' on him has turned into...well...a 'respectful admiration for this great guy crush.'
I hope you enjoy Brian and I together on the show. His lovely wife Jane is a great sport and as you'll see a talented improvisational actress as well. We really had a great time.
Brian and his wife surprise me with a generous and thoughtful gift. I feel blessed to have met them, such authentically kind, nice, classy, warm people.
Yes, we have new shows on Monday and Tuesday (we pre-taped Monday and Tuesday's shows before New Years Eve) our official show back from break will be on Wednesday.
Kathy Bates joins us Tuesday. (I'm jumping all over with the days of the week, but you're with me so far...right?) Anyway, I so enjoyed interviewing Ms. Bates, even her sister talks to us from the audience.
Kathy came on our show to promote her new film, 'Revolutionary Road.' However, during our interview we changed gears...and Kathy and I discuss the moment she heard the diagnosis of ovarian cancer.
I think anyone who has had to deal with a medical challenge will relate and be inspired by Kathy's thoughtful expression of her personal journey with cancer.
I'm really looking forward to getting back together with all of you this week. Missed talking to you all, having a few laughs, and talking about the topics of the day.
Later in the week, Carrie Fisher is on. Carrie is just 'so much,' so much intelligence, so much talent, so much pain, so much humor, so much honesty...ugh, she's really one of a kind. Her latest book 'Wishful Drinking,' wow...read it in one sitting, laughed, cried laughing, and laughed again...and then, thought. Yeah, thinking, it's a scary thought in itself. So nice to have someone's written words provoke emotions, laughter and self-reflection as well. I appreciate Carrie Fisher's writing and her stories. I'm thrilled she will be on the show to share her own journey being the daughter of a celebrity couple, being a movie star herself, living through depression, many emotional extremes, mental illness, and getting through it all with humor.
I'm honored to continue our 'Bonnie's Basement' auction to support medical research. Many new items to bid on this week. You not only can buy something unique and collectible, but you'll also be donating to research that may help you or a loved one.
We never know what we may have to deal with on any given day. Let's hang out together this week, support each other with our stories, dreams, and humor. Thank you all for joining me.
In closing I want to express my deepest heartfelt sympathy to Kelly Preston and John Travolta on the passing of their precious son, Jett. My thoughts and prayers are with them. With love and respect, Bonnie.

I LOVE YOUR SHOW, and try to schedule my day s0 I can watch it So far, my favorite is the one with Brian Williams. He's an amazing person. I would love to have my huband see the show, so is it possible to find out when it will be re-scheduled ? Thanks a bunch .----
WHERE CAN I GET ONE OF THOS DOLLS THAT BONNIE MADE?
My family and I have enjoyed your work so very much and were so disappointed when "Life With Bonnie" went off the air. That was the funniest show and my kids and I had a ball watching your talented ensemble cast as well as your quick wit! So pleased to have stumbled upon your talk show and how brilliantly it flows. I love the set, it takes me back to Mike Douglas, Art Linkletter, etc.
I work in an emergency room at a large hospital and can appreciate your compassion as a nurse.
Your beautiful soul just shines!
Love your clothes! I've tried to find an empire-waist sweater/shirt like it and have had no luck. Would your stylist care to reveal where one could purchase a top with a similar style?
Hope to see you on air for years to come.
Dawn Marie
Hi Bonnie,
My husband and I are from Chicago and absolutely love your show. We now live in Philadelphia and this city,(still stuck in 1776) has your show on at 2:00am so we Tivo it everynight and watch it the next day. It is so wonderful to enjoy good clean laughter and we laugh a lot with the show.
Keep up the good work. One comment - could extend some of your guest star visits. The segments are too short.
Thanks for your joy in life.
Susan and Bob
Hi Bonnie,
Love you and your show. The other day I noticed on your set there is a picture of Doris Day. She's great. So miss her that she's not in the business anymore. But with both of your love for animals, how great would it be to have her as a guest on your show. It probably won't happen, but maybe you could at least ask her!
Have a safe, healthy and happy New Year!
Best,
Debbie
I can relate to your story about the perfume on your starbucks cup. Years ago I went to the grocery store, and I noticed some very strong and unpleasant perfume while I was checking out. I thought it was the person in front of me. To my horror, when I got home, the trunk of my car smelled of that perfume and all my groceries too. That smell was everywhere...in the pantry, refrigerator, the change money, the dollar bills, my hands. It was terrible. Since that incident I am very leary of anyone who wears strong perfume.
Hello Bon,
Just a note to tell U how much you mean to my mother, She loves U and adores your show, I have read comments about U and the show and want to add those with the comment from my mom and myself.
First, my mother is legally blind, but she listens intently, she is also on oxygen but it doesn't keep her down, she is house bound but still as sharp as a whip, she watches at 2pm on CH14 KJZZ in Utah, and I help her find the channel so she won't miss you.
She use to watch Ellen, but since you came on U have been her Number 1 next to M.A.S.H.; my Dad loved this show and watched up and until he died.
This is my first time writing to a Television show, and expressing my thoughts, so please bear with me; your mom is a delight, she is just like mine.........what a hoot.
Keep up the great job Bon ! your a breath of fresh air in a world of smog.
Take care, and have a beauutiful day babe!
Sincerely yours,
Randy Stevens

P.S. that's close to Salt Lake City Utah, home of the U of U. University of Utah, the College National Champs of 2008. Undefeated.
I really want to know where Bonnie gets her clothes. I love her sense of style, conservative and attractive.
Bonnie, i love your show, i used to watch Regis @ Kelly but since your show started i never miss a show. You and i are about the same age and actually my daughter was the one that got me to first watch you she's 39 an dshe adores your show and i totaly agree, Keep up the great work and i'm sure you will be around a very long time. Take care and tell your mom Alice HI and Happy New Year Sincerly Yours Sandra HYder
Bonnie,
My husband and I absolutely adore your show. Like some, we've followed the progression of your continuing wardrobe style and what folks have had to say about it. Here's my two-cents...
go back to the track suits..it was cute and young and softer looking. It's easier to feel you're having a nice "chat with a friend" watching this show when your friend looks comfortable...vs looking like it is a business meeting. (And don't listen to those southern-belles who think every woman needs to be all fancy all the time).
Anyhow, I want to tell you that we love the style of your set, the way you visit with guests, and of course Alice! Your show is fantastic.
Best of Luck!
Bonnie,
PLEASE ask Jensen Ackles what he knows about this new major character joining SUPERNATURAL... (A third brother) I HAVE TO KNOW!!! Its killing me I am still unsure how I feel about this...
Thanks,
Tyler
Bonnie, we love & tape your show daily. You make my day!!! we were just wondering where that very large beautiful coffee/tea cup you used to drink from is? Love to have one if you could tell me where to buy it, so flowery & so you!!!! pls let me know more about it, thanks! Casey Kennedy
Hi Bonnie, just wanted to tell you how much my husband and I enjoy your show. The only problem is we tape your show and watch you during the dinner hour. This poses a problem for me because I have a tendency to spit food all over myself while laughing at your comedic antics. Anyway, I also want you to know that my husband has a major crush on you, but, of course, it's a very respectful crush. We love you Bonnie, thanks for bringing joy into our lives.
Hi Bonnie,
I just wanted to tell you I love your show. It is on at l0am which is the time I have to be at work so I don't get to see it as often as i would like.
I loved your halloween show. I loved the theme. I am 51 so when you talk about your generation i relate to all of it. You also showed the game Mystery Date on your show and as my family and kids can tell you I talked about that game so much as a childhood memory. I had 3 sisters and the fights we had when we ended up with poor poindexter. I wish I still had my game.
Being you are also from the bubble gum era, have you thought about doing a show with the people who were a big part of that time. I was so in love with Bobby Sherman. I had my entire room plastered with every poster, picture no matter how small everywhere in my room and even had strings going across the ceiling like streamers with pictures hanging from them. He was the first concert I went to. The Osmonds. Who didn't love Donnie. In the past few yrs he has been on tour and my friend and I have gotten to see him twice. He is still great. Then the hottie David Cassidy. These were such a huge part of that time.
Just a thought I'd throw out to you that I think would be a really fun show to do. My sisters and friends have mentioned this in the past and knowing how you are about your past you would be so perfect to do this kind of show.
Keep up the great work. When I am home I do not miss your show. I really really enjoy it.
Thanks for being there and bringing some fun into my day.
Debi
Bonnie--I watch TV all day, every day! I am disabled but still raising my 10 yr old granddaughter. When she gets home from school @ 3:15pm, then I get busy with chores and dinner. My point is that I have seen every talk show, daytime or late night, since I retired 17 years ago and I enjoy yours--BY FAR-- over the rest, past and present. You are so kind and loving to everyone, including your mom. I love the way you love children and animals. It proves you are really the person we see each day. I hope all of your dreams come true, Bonnie. My siblings have always called me the "grammar police" because I was either correcting their pronounciation or grammar. I find bad grammar like nails on a chalkboard!! I have NEVER noticed you to have bad grammar--maybe I'm still laughing when you are misspeaking. You can't do anything wrong in my book, Bonnie!! Keep it up!!
PS - Are the beautiful coffee mugs you have had on your desk for sale anywhere? I love them.
I'm veryyy excited for more Bonnie! I absolutely love you, and your show. Best show on TV, period.
You're so real, and I love the stories of your family and friends, and your childhood. Just watching your show everyday makes me feel like I've known you, in person, for years. I've been a long time fan, and I've seen almost all of your movies. You're a very talented, and funny person. Thank you for putting smiles and laughter into my days.
+*_You look beautiful in whatever you wear, Bonnie.
Bonnie, you are the most enjoyable thing on TV - ever! Your program is so very refreshing and after an hour of listening to you and your guests, I feel happier than when I started. You cannot say that about too many TV programs, let alone talk shows. I DVR your program daily and both my husband and I watch it is the evenings - he loves it as well!
We appreciate that you are such a REAL person, and a lady who continues to carry high personal values, ethics and manners.
Our daughter is graduating from Medical School in June so we are planning as a family to get tickets to your show as part of her celebration festivities. She is spending most of her time in Chicago on rotations now, and gives you great respect for your nursing career there at Northwestern.
Keep up the great work and know that you are loved,
Ruth Dingfield
Hey Bonnie,
I seen you're show today.I want one of them Grammar Books from that guy in Florida. It ain't for me,it's for my wife ,she don't talk so good!
John
P.S. I'm a retired First Grade Teacher and whatever I'm doing during the day I always stop to watch your show at 2:00 here in NJ. I'm a great fan and always have been. Much continued success with your show.
Hi Bonnie,
What a fun gal you are! My husband, Ben, and I DVR your show every day and sit in our matching leather recliners at the end of a busy day to unwind with you. I think what makes you so incredible is that you are simply YOU! What a delight to see someone who is not afraid to just be their true self. We love your humor and love that you have surrounded yourself with lots of other incredible people and some long-time friends. Thanks for the laughs!
Blessings,
Mel Linker
P.S. I just read some of the comments about your clothing and would like to say it is so refreshing to see a real woman on TV, dressing like other real American women. Don't go changin'...to try and please anyone else!!!
I get a kick out of the show when Bonnie talks to Don. Well, I was watching a movie on Lifetime the other night with Diane Keaton. Low & behold there was a scene in a funeral home & the Minister at the service sure looked like Don. Was it? The movie was called "Smother".
I also must say how much I enjoy Bonnie's show. She is quick with her comments & they make me laugh. I enjoy the segments with her mother Alice. I know now where Bonnie get's her sense of humor!
Hope you get your voice back soon!
