Message from Bonnie - Week of November 10th

Hello,
It's another 'sweeps week,' as they call it in show biz. During this time of year the powers that be pay even closer attention to the ratings.
We want to not only make sure that you our loyal viewers stay tuned but we'd also like to entice more viewers as well. So this week will be doing a different type of topic, for instance: 'Naked Ladies of the Night Who Have Too Many Parking Tickets.'
What do you think?
(I'm just kidding about the 'naked ladies and their parking tickets') hmmm, maybe that would be a good show? No, stop it, I'm falling under the sensational promotions to get ratings spell...ugh..shake it off, here we go...
Back to the truth, we start off a sweeps week with tribute to our troops and then one of my favorite guests, my Mom. I'm looking forward to sharing another 'Ask Alice' segment with all of you. We'll have Mom on Monday's show, answering viewers questions. She truly gets a kick out of being a part of the show.
Also, Tom Bergeron from 'Dancing with the Stars' and 'America's Funniest Videos' will join us. Tom's an old friend. It's nice to share time with him. We put together a surprise for Tom, it's our own homemade video submissions for 'America's Funniest Videos.'
It's always so interesting to have actors on the show whose work I've enjoyed but have not yet met, such as Neal McDonough from 'Desperate Housewives' and Jennifer Esposito from 'Samantha Who?'
Of course my nieces are thrilled that Joshua Jackson, formerly of 'Dawson's Creek,' will be on to talk about what's new in his life and how he's doing on the new show, 'Fringe.'
We also have some great music this week, and as always some 'regular folk' to share their stories.
I can't wait to share more videos of my 'man on the street' adventures.
So come join us for another week of laughing at ourselves and learning something, like painting a master piece, as we all learned to do last week.
I do plan on having Connie Gordon back to do another painting lesson. Connie's 85 years-old and continues to share her enthusiasm for art, creativity and teaching. I'm so happy you all enjoy Connie as much as I do.
Tuesday is Veteran's Day. We will have spouses of service men and women in our audience and we will pay tribute to our troops.
We are fortunate to have on Patty and Patrick Horan appearing on the show Tuesday, I met this brave couple last February at the Casa Colina Rehab facility here in California.
Like so many of the young injured soldiers whom I am fortunate enough to spend time with, I find Patty and Patrick to be an example of courage, love, commitment, and triumph. I'm so happy they are coming to share their story with all of us.
Have a wonderful week.
Bonnie

Sorry the last posting was such a poor demonstration of our tolerance for our neighbors. Love your show Bonnie. Do you have an email address for submission of funny videos? I have one of my dog kissing a frog. you'd love it. thanks for being such a real, lovely person.
Hi Bonnie, Love the show, sorry you had rosie on this friday, she is a disgusting person, so I turned you off.
Hi Bonnie
I so enjoy your show! I saw Friday's (01/30) with the OC Housewives. Don't you even consider letting them "make you over." Your greatest appeal is the way you are - "down to earth", caring, loving. You are beautiful the way you are.
Please don't think you need to change. You endear yourself to your viewers because we can relate to you. I know the way you love animals is a big draw for me - I feel the same way.
Best wishes.... Patti Bauer

Hi Bonnie: love your show, and had to let you know that we were once in the spot you are now with Charlie. We had a Golden Ret. age 7 and the other dog we had passed away, well we bought Jake into the picture, another golden, and Ben the older dog, would get up and walk away when poor Jake came near him, I had to tell him to love him because he was here to stay, and Ben looked at me like "right". Well after a few weeks, they really got along and bonded, When Ben passed away 7 years later, poor Jake just cried and cried it was so sad, so we got another golden, and named him Murphy, well the same thing happened again, and now they are best buds, Jake is now 14 and murphy is 7.
So it takes a while but they do bond together.
Hi Bonnie,
I love your show!!
I am a Girl Scout for troup 12302 and was wondering if you would like to support my troup by at least buying one box of Girl Scout cookies?

Hey, Bonnie,
Did you notice the little woman in your audience who had a green muffler wrapped around her neck and who was all bundled up on today's show, December 18, 2008? :-) Pretty funny.
Thanks so much for all the great shows, great guests, and great fun. Love the set, also. It makes my day to watch your show and I've told all my friends about it.
Love all your memories of growing up! So similar to mine, down in the southern part of Illinois. No wonder all the celebs love watching, also; because you're so down-to-earth and genuinely funny. You have a great Mom and family and I just appreciate you letting us all in on your life.
Merry Christmas and have a wonderful New Year.
Sharon E
P.S. I just read the comments above, and I agree: you do feel like a member of the family; and I agree that if I miss a show (rarely), I feel as though I missed a good friend's visit.
:-) And, Dukie Marcucci and the boys WERE great. How fun to be able to look up people from your past and do all the wacky things you and your crew do.
GOOD CLEAN FUN, just like the world used to be, back in the good old days. I feel sad for our kids, because they missed all that fun. If you'll stay on the air for years to come to remind us, maybe we can all bring back the good from those times and make the world a much better place. Hugs and kisses!
Hi Bonnie love your show, when you pick something out of your christmas stocking how about a car for me.i have a 20 year old car that is so unsafe i cant even take my grandkids any where in it.if you know santa will you tell him this is what i need.
HI BONNIE IAM A ANIMAL LOVER TO. I HAVE 3 DOGS AND 12 CATS AND 2 DONKEYS AND 3 HORSES AND 4 LLAMAS AND THAT"S IT. MY FAVORITE ACTOR IS JOHNNY DEPP. HE IS SO SEXY. WHEN IS HE COMEING TO YOUR SHOW? WHAT KIND DOG DO YOU HAVE? DO YOU HAVE CAT? I WISH JOHNNY DEPP WAS INDIANA. HE WAS. BUT I MISSED HIM. I DON"T KNOW HE WAS IN INDIANA. BECAUSE I LIVE IN INDIANA. HAVE A MARRY CHRISTMAS.

Hi Bonnie,
I love your new show. I've been a fan for a long time. One of my all-time favorite Christmas sit-com segments is from your prior show where the kids did the nativity story with Joseph's broken sandal and only two wisemen. Some good subtle suggestions through the entire half hour. I also loved it when you sang in front of the piano. You just started the song and Tony found your key. It would be nice to hear you sing again.

Is the green glass coffee mug for sale?
BONNIE, I LOVE YOUR NEW SHOW. IF I AM NOT HOME IN TIME FOR IT I FEEL LIKE I MISSED A FRIEND'S VISIT. IT IS VERY RARE TO SEE A DOWN TO EARTH PERSON ON TV. YOU SEEM JUST LIKE A MEMBER OF THE FAMILY. I HOPE YOU ARE ON FOR A VERY, VERY LONG TIME. I LOVE YOUR MOM, YOUR STORIES ABOUT YOUR LIFE, YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS. I GOT SUCH A KICK OUT OF THE GARBAGE MEN'S VISIT. I CAN'T SPELL THE NAME, I AM SORRY. I LIKE THE COOKING SEGMENTS. PLEASE HAVE MORE. YOU ARE A STITCH. THANKS FOR BRINGING A CLASS SHOW TO US. CAROL
Hi Bonnie,

Bonnie,
Just a note to say THANKS so much for my book "Tim and Tom". Tim Reid is one of my favorite comedians. I first saw him as Venus Flytrap on WKRP and have been hooked (and laughing) ever since.
I am so thrilled to get off work and have such a great show to watch. You do a wonderful job!!
Again, Thanks so much!
