Message from Bonnie - Week of November 10th

Hello,

It's another 'sweeps week,' as they call it in show biz. During this time of year the powers that be pay even closer attention to the ratings.

We want to not only make sure that you our loyal viewers stay tuned but we'd also like to entice more viewers as well. So this week will be doing a different type of topic, for instance: 'Naked Ladies of the Night Who Have Too Many Parking Tickets.'

What do you think?

(I'm just kidding about the 'naked ladies and their parking tickets') hmmm, maybe that would be a good show? No, stop it, I'm falling under the sensational promotions to get ratings spell...ugh..shake it off, here we go...

Back to the truth, we start off a sweeps week with tribute to our troops and then one of my favorite guests, my Mom. I'm looking forward to sharing another 'Ask Alice' segment with all of you. We'll have Mom on Monday's show, answering viewers questions. She truly gets a kick out of being a part of the show.

Also, Tom Bergeron from 'Dancing with the Stars' and 'America's Funniest Videos' will join us. Tom's an old friend. It's nice to share time with him. We put together a surprise for Tom, it's our own homemade video submissions for 'America's Funniest Videos.'

It's always so interesting to have actors on the show whose work I've enjoyed but have not yet met, such as Neal McDonough from 'Desperate Housewives' and Jennifer Esposito from 'Samantha Who?'

Of course my nieces are thrilled that Joshua Jackson, formerly of 'Dawson's Creek,' will be on to talk about what's new in his life and how he's doing on the new show, 'Fringe.'

We also have some great music this week, and as always some 'regular folk' to share their stories.

I can't wait to share more videos of my 'man on the street' adventures.

So come join us for another week of laughing at ourselves and learning something, like painting a master piece, as we all learned to do last week.

I do plan on having Connie Gordon back to do another painting lesson. Connie's 85 years-old and continues to share her enthusiasm for art, creativity and teaching. I'm so happy you all enjoy Connie as much as I do.

Tuesday is Veteran's Day. We will have spouses of service men and women in our audience and we will pay tribute to our troops.

We are fortunate to have on Patty and Patrick Horan appearing on the show Tuesday, I met this brave couple last February at the Casa Colina Rehab facility here in California.

Like so many of the young injured soldiers whom I am fortunate enough to spend time with, I find Patty and Patrick to be an example of courage, love, commitment, and triumph. I'm so happy they are coming to share their story with all of us.

Have a wonderful week.

Bonnie

Hey Bonnie!

I absolutely love your show! It really makes my day! You say the funniest things, and I look forward to all the creative things you and your crew come up with.

The painting segment with Connie Gordon was great! Now I just need to figure out how to start using my DVR to record your show since I will be starting to work full-time in another week!

Thanks for giving me a good reason to watch tv.

Tammy

Hi,
I was wondering if I missed part of the show today? At the top I thought you were saying you would be offering tips on how to color your own hair, but I didn't see that segment. I'm trying to stretch my salon visits as long as possible these days, but the gray is showing sooner than I'd like.
You know, that's just another reason to like you and your show. You seem very down to earth, and don't put down what we "regular" people are doing to get by. I appreciate that.
Sincerely,
K. Shannon

Hi Bonnie,

I just wanted to say that I love your show. I look forward to it everyday. I also appreciated your Veteran's Day show very much. As a Military spouse with a deployed husband, it's nice to know we're remembered too! I have two small children at home and I use your show for a little me time. I love how genuine you are and love that you bring that out in your guests as well.

Take care and long live The Bonnie Hunt Show!

Katy

Hi Bonnie
I love your show. I predict that you will be very successful and will move to evening. (How can we get rid of Conan so you can take over the Tonight Show when Jay leaves? We can work on that together. Let's talk.

I'd like to know where you bought your beautiful mug? I collect mugs (much to my husbands dismay. He has said that I can only get a new mug once a year.) Since the New Year is approaching..... I would love to get a mug like yours for 2009.

Thanks.

Hi Bonnie,Just wanted to tell you the show on Veterans Day was wonderful! It was great having all the military families in the audience. Just wanted to thank you for acknowledging all our troops and their support families at home. You are doing a great job with the show. You start my day off with a smile! Lots of Love, mystydawn

Where did you say Butch the Tortoise was from?

Bonnie,

I just wanted to let you know I love the show. I am hooked on it. I have been home on medical leave for a foot problem. I had heard about your show and watched and i have watched it ever since. But now i will be going back to work I am going to try to TIVO it when i can remember. You are one of my favorite actresses also.

Take care and Happy Holidays,
Suzi

I've always liked Bonnie's personality on and off the screen. This show really is worth watching!!

Two answers for caption: Do the have those little bags of peanuts on Air Force One? or Boxers or Briefs? On another note does anyone know of a group in Ohio with visiting dogs for the veterans. My Great Dane wants to volunteer. Vivian in Ohio.

Bonnie and Co.,

Thank you for honoring veterans on your show today. It's so easy to get caught up in every day life and forget the amazing sacrifices that our soldiers--and their families--make for us daily.

I'm a proud to be part of a military family. My Dad is a veteran, as well as both Grandfathers and my Grandmother was one of the first women in the Navy during WWII as a Wave.

Keep up the great work!

Hey Bonnie, Love the show..

I also love the show What Not To Wear and would like to nominate you for a wardrobe intervention.
I could join you as my wardrobe is so similar to yours I love sweaters, hoodies and anything dark and slimming.

You have to be the only person on television
that is not wearing designer clothing and those
6 inche heels with the red bottoms..

Stay real..

I want to get that flag Crissy Wallace signed and I don't know how to get to bid on them. Please let me know. Thank you.

Bonnie,
I love your show and TIVO it all week. I just watched you paint a landscape and I was so impressed with Connie - I am a musical person, piano, etc, but I can't draw a stick figure. I am going to save that program and draw a landscape.

Love the show - hope you are on for a long long time...

PS - I am 50 years old, divorced for the 2nd time at 40 - and found my soul mate and am happily married to No. 3. I have no children of my own, but he has 3 grown ones and I am their step mom. Your bliss will find you - the best is yet to come.

PSS - We all want a mug - come on, tell us!!!!

Dear Bonnie Hunt
I am sooo thrilled that you finally have your own show. One morninig on the Reggis. and Kelly show,Reg. loved (as I did) your witty sence of humor, and he offered to have you on the show as a regular or a show of your own. Do you remember that? Well you said no a few times. I am thrilled that you finialy said yes to someone..... I watch your show as often as I can. It would be great if you could have the show at about 4:00 p.m.though ,so that I may watch your show while I prepare the family dinner.

Your show is fun and freindly. It's a show I can bring my mother to. I wonder if I could get tickets in Dec. your calender dosn't allow me to lock in a Dec. date.
Take care and have a nice day.
your fan.

Love the mug, when can we get it? Love you too, Bonnie.
