Cloris Leachman - Wednesday, November 5th
She's back! The always unpredictable Cloris Leachman returns to our set after being booted from 'Dancing with the Stars.' The last time she was here she took over the show and tried making over Bonnie's hair. Brace yourselves! 20-year-old NASCAR racer Chrissy Wallace makes a pit stop to talk with Bonnie about her famous NASCAR family and her death defying driving. Sonya, our ears are still ringing from her screams of joy, won our 'Day of Days' sweepstakes and she's back from the 'Days of our Lives' fan event to give Bonnie her full report. She fulfilled her dream of meeting all the Days stars and rumor has it, Bryan Dattilo took his shirt off for her. Yesterday, Bonnie showed footage from Holly's date with Perfectmatch.com's Franke, do you think she could have done better? Tune in to see Bonnie go over the final batch of guys and pick which one you want to see Holly with next!

your website sucks. All i want to know is where your wonderful wardrobe comes from. no info here.. love ya anyway.
Hi Bonnie!
This is Sonya, your 'Day of Days' contest winner! I just wanted to say "HI!" and thank you so much, again, for giving me the amazing opportunity to interview the cast of Days of Our Lives, which I love dearly. It was truly the most exciting experience of my life! How surreal it was to be meeting the people who portray characters I watch every single weekday! They were so warm and friendly and down to earth and literally greeted me with open arms. Some didn't even know I was a contest winner at first...they thought I was a professional! How cool is that?! I can't even find the words to totally get across what I'm trying to say, but the closest I can come is, thank you, thank you, thank you!! Winning your contest has changed my life forever! I'll never watch Days the same way again! Now I have all these wonderful memories of the actors and the conversations that we had. And personally, it really did wonders for my confidence and self-esteem. Please tell the crew, Krueger, Don, that cute little camera guy who's name I'm so sorry I can't remember, and the producer Kevin (what a sweetheart!) and Donna, and Amy & Melanie who did such a fantastic job on my hair and makeup, please tell them all I said "HI!" and thank them so much again as they were so wonderful to work with! And, thank you so much , again Bonnie! I now tape your show every morning (you come on at 2am here). And I wish I could've spent more time with you! You're so funny and talented and beautiful and your show and your crew are simply the best! If you ever need a correspondent for the Grammys, Emmys, Oscars, or whatever, please think of me! ;)
Your most grateful fan ever,
Sonya
Hi Bonnie,
I am here late a work tonight and taking some time to write to you just to let you know that I love your show and Don and the band and Nick ... and Your beautiful voice.
You have a special ease and sense of humor that is Just Part of your skin I think (naturally funny) nothing is ever forced and I am very very impressed by you and admire you greatly.
I missed the show with Cloris Leachman who I love and I heard the next day that you 2 sang a duet --------sorry I missed that.... I loved Cloris in Spanglish (one of my all time favorite Movies) I poked around the website to see if it was on the blog ... Oh well
I too >>> wish you would do an album
Someone said that in your mail bag ... I agree
---your voice reminds me of a combo of Rosemarie Clooney and Ella
I grew up on sarah vaughn,,, ella fitzgerald
and barbra... I was born in 1960 -- my mum and dad exposed my brothers and I to all of it ,,,
broadway, beatles, jazz , jaques brel...
dean,
tony
frank and sammy ...
Your voice would be amazing singing the Jaques Brel classic "If we only had Love"
or any classic tune from Ella or Sarah ...
oh I have gone on too long ... I would Love to Know some of your favorite songs ...
bye and I hope you will perform soon at Mohegan or Foxwoods or Vegas ,,, you should >>!!!!!!!!!!!!!! people will line up in droves to see you
Thanks for all that you are
my best to you and yours
Julie Abruzzio
ps
Have you heard of Michael Amante ...?? he is a wonderful singer ,, I would Love to see him on your show ( he sings the italian standards like Dean) "mama" is one of my all time favorites
Love your show. I just wish there had been more time to show Sonia's interviews with the stars of Days of Our Lives. I'm sure she spoke with more than just a couple of people. And I would have loved to have heard the story behind why she named her daughter Kayla (was it because of the character from Days?).
I think Holly is making a big mistake with Franke. Franke (Randy) let Holly know he may be moving soon, I think that is his way of saying he really isn't into her. He is giving himself an out.... Holly you seem so real & he is really coming across like a phony.
Just my opinion & I have been around a long time.
Bonnie
This is a reply to the posting that Marguerite Needham posted below...
Yes Bonnie is a beautiful woman she is all natural there is nothing fake about her..
Which is very rare for celebrities but she is a rare gem.. Diamond in the rough !!
I wish people would stop nit-picking about her clothes and everything else that she wears on the show..
You people are never satisified.
Like I have said before she wore hoodies and sweats and people nitpicked at that.
I thought she looked adorable in them. Then she changed to black slacks and nice tops and sometimes she wears low tops that may show cleavage and then people wrote in saying stop showing your cleavage and now she wears long tops and now people are saying wear clothes that accent your figure..
What about what Bonnie wants did anyone think that maybe she likes the clothes she is wearing on her show.. Some tops she wears she does comment on whether she likes them or not but she is up front with her viewers and the audience..
Bonnie likes wearing comfortable clothes and she looks good in everything she wears.
She could do the show in a robe and I would be happy as long as she was happy and comfortable..
I love Bonnie Unconditionally as long as she is alive, happy, and healthy, that is what makes me happy.. She is doing a wonderful job and I am proud of her and all her accomplishments.
When it comes to her glasses she needs them they are mandatory as she needs them to read..
She is very up front that she doesn't like contacts therefore she doesn't wear them..
The glasses look cute on her whether there on or off she is adorable. The glasses are part of her as she needs to see with them..
Bonnie is a natural person once again she is unique and that is what makes her Bonnie Hunt..
She is her own person and that is what kept her grounded throughout her career. She is not a phony..
She is as real as they come.
As you can tell I am a loyal viewer and a loyal fan and I don't like when people criticize Bonnie Hunt.
Keep up the good work Bonnie and jut be yourself..
Best Wishes,
Karen
Bonnie,
Great show as always..
Look forward to seeing you each day and also love to hear your monologue.
I could watch you all day just you talking about anything and everything I don't need guests.
Just you alone is entertaining..
You should sing more I have a good voice also maybe I can come on the show and we can sing together. I like all the old songs like you do Gershwin, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin all the great music back in the day..
Cloris Leachman behaved herself today she sat down for her interview instead of being all over the place..
I can't believe it is Thursday already.. Time flies.
I still want to meet you one of these days but, if you have read my letters and emails that I have sent to you then you would already know that.. Just let me know when and I will be there.
Love A Loyal Viewer and Fan
Best Wishes,
Karen
Hi Bonnie!
I watch your show everyday on WMAQ NBC 5 in Chicago. On Tuesday when you were talking about how you handed out Obama and McCain masks to your audience I noticed that when your camera panned out to the audience at that four ladies in your audience were wearing Christmas sweaters. Do you think that they were in some sort of club? Maybe they just mixed up Christmas and Election Day. Hopefully they won't try to vote on Christmas. (Santa, do you know where I can get a ballot?) I just happened to notice that and had to check the calendar.
Your homie (and fellow Cubs fan) in Chicago,
Kerry
I've enjoyed your work over the years and are delighted with your TV show. Love the set and,
Dean Martin was my favorite singer too.
Why don't you sing some of his songs from time to time? The little I hear of your voice makes we want to hear more.
I love your show, Bonnie. You are so genuine. I enjoyed your comment about the clock in your car as I have the same problem. My son lives in L.A. and when he comes home at Christmas to Indianapolis I get him to change the clock for me!!! Then for a few months I have the right time! I have had people do the same thing when they get in the car and look at that clock to see what time it is. I enjoyed your show today, but in the middle of your visit with Cloris your show was interrupted for a "Special News Report" and Pres. Bush's speech. : ( Bummer!!! So, I missed some of her interview. Keep up the good work. I love Don Lake! He is soooo nice too. And Holly...and everyone that works with you! Your fan forever!!!! - Debbie
Hi Miss Hunt and gang,
I really enjoy your show A LOT. I have to tape it during the day and watch it late at night after work. It is nice to always be able to end the night on a high note.
I think Miss Hunt should wear a funky shirt every day if that is what it takes to get her singing. She has a TERRIFIC voice. I know it's early but I hope she is planning on singing at Christmastime. (Maybe with a guest?)
Any chance of your other series(s) finally coming out on DVD? If you have no control over this who do the fans need to bug--I mean ask.
Keep up the great work everyone. That seems like a really tough industry and it really says a lot about how long you have all stuck together, can still work together and be friends. Either that or your a lot better actors than I thought! haha
P.S. I am having trouble with the Valpak link and their website. It just keeps recycling but never loads. I hope it's not just me.
Love your show. What did Cloris say re: her ex? It was very touching and reminded me of a song and now I can't remember what she said.
Thanks
S
I LOVE your show it reminds me of the shows we watched growing up. About Holly I agree with you it seemed a little fast but then again I haven't had a date since 1983 what do I know? I like that Holly is a self assured and confident with herself. She was also in a public place with friends from the show around so she knows she would be safe.
Bonnie - loved the show today (and yesterday - well just about everyday) - always makes me laugh. I agree with you about that Franke guy - I would have gotten up and moved over to the other side! But you and Holly discussing it cracks me up - just typical of 2 people who have been friends for a long time. And I am sorry - i do not agree with Maureen U up above here, I am so glad you didn't get into the election - yes its historical but your show is entertainment and I am so tired of celebrities telling me who I should vote for and I am not an American if I don't vote for who they think I should. Its nice to have a show that stays away from that. If someone wants to discuss the election turn on CNN but if you want your worries to be gone for an hour turn on the Bonnie Hunt show!
Hi Bonnie, Have never written to anyone before but my husband and I LOVE your show. We are newly retired and tape you every day and have dinner with you and the cast. GREAT dinner show!! I guess you could say "we're addicted". It is so refreshing to see the long lasting friendship you all have. We're hoping for one terrific guy for Holly. Why not look up Don's "lost love", haha. The one he ran out on in Middle School. My husband wants to add that a perfect guy for Holly would be the mc on Mobile Home Disaster; great personality to match hers. Keep up the great show and value the friendships you all share. Looking forward to many more dinner shows. Best wishes always, Phil and Linda Hedrick ps Thanks for having Crissy Wallace, we're big NASCAR fans.
