Joan is a creep. You should ban her the way Johnny Carson did.
I was lucky to be at this taping. (or maybe not)When you told the story of Lacy I almost cried because I have been crying everyday for 3 weeks because of my dog, Nala. She had been very sick and we thought she would have to be put down soon. I am the one with the horrible bags under my eyes as you are talking. (Sorry!) Crying does that to me! My sister next to me was told not to say anything about dogs that day to me or I would cry... You are so sweet and care sooo much for animals. Thank you for being the sweet person you are! Nala is doing better. She has diabetes. We give her 2 shots a day but it is still not under control. By the way my bags are still there, if you want to do a make over show, I'm your lady as you can see! Keep up the Great work!!! I hope to be at another taping sometime!
Thanks! Joanne
Nobody seemed to pick up on the band's intro music for Joan Rivers: "Put on a Happy Face."
Bonnie,
I love the show and watch it every morning before heading off to work.
After watching the show on Friday (02-13-09), I got too thinking about your question... "Is it Valentine or Valentines?"...I came to the conclusion the the holiday is in fact, St. Valentines Day (just like you said). However, if you are asking someone to "BE MINE" it is Valentine.
Can't wait to see more great stuff!
Bonnie is like a fine wine.. She Ages Well..
Like she is frozen in time
But then again she always looked good..
She is so funny and so down to earth...
Thank you for sharing with us your story about Lacey. It MADE my VALENTINE's DAY! I actually rewound and taped the show and showed it to my husband. He was so tired he watched it. It made him appreciate our dog so much more. My son moved out and left his min-pin with us this year, and he's had a hard time with him. But, I just told him to give him more time and be patient and gentle with him. They are both high strung, so he needs to be more patient with him. Then, the next night, Beetoven was on and we watched it again, for the first time since we saw it when it first came out. My God, Bonnie, you look so much better NOW! Anyway, we looked for Lacey at the end of the movie like you said, and we argued for about one half an hour which one she was. IT MADE OUR VALENTINE's Day so much sweeter.
Thank you again, Bonnie. Just keep being you!

Chris Hardwick showed us an indistructable phone that he and Bonnie hammered on ... they did not tell us the brand????????
Dear Bonnie,
I love...love...love your show!!!!!!!!!!! I
never watch daytime TV and only a few shows in the evening.
But from 9am to 10 am my husband knows not to disturb me during your show.
If I am the only one here and the phone
rings I let the machine pick it up not to miss a minute of your show.
You are so down to earth, and regardless of what you say you are very attractive and I can't understand why the men are't knocking your door down.
I am my 39yr old son's #1 fan. (long story) But your relationhip with your Mother is just like ours. I am always getting words twisted around and off he goes. (love your Mother)
Anyway, keep up the good work, you make my days brighter. And if you ever need a sidekick my son would be great. Between the two of you...well not sure what would happen.
All good wishes.
Vicki L. Porter
PS there is one thing, that I might mention.... who dresses you? whoever it is you might want to consider someone new!!!
watched your show other day you had dave fossie on, i think i spelled his last name wrong "sorry". anyway i think he is very handsome and it looked like he was doing some major flirting with you. he mentioned he was single a couple of times. i think you two would make a cute couple. whatdaya think? do you think you could be interested in him? you so deserve to meet some one nice. i say have him on and see if the sparks fly again. by the way i love, love, love your show & your mother too.
p.s. forgot to ask you if you felt anything going on when he was there?
Dear Bonnie, We LOVE your show, as there is nothing like it on day time T.V. We all need to laugh more these days, and you let us do just that! Thank you! Sylvia Cecil
Hi Bonnie,
I don't get to watch your show as much as I'd like (who invented this thing called work?) but when I'm home I make a point to tune in. I just love your show! The segments with your Mom are hilarious -- she seems like such a great lady. And you always have such great conversations with your guests, not the same old stuff like other talk shows. You really like your guests and treat them with such respect and that lets you say some of the most amazing things. I was lucky enough this week to see Joan Rivers - she was great, and David Foster. You'll have keep us all posted if you go out on a date...boy was he flirting with you! If I get technically inclined one day I'll try taping your show, but for now it's my guilty pleasure when I'm home from work. I hope you are on air for a long time!
p.s. I loved Life with Bonnie too. You had some of the funniest episodes with guests like Rip Torn, Martin Mull(so funny) and Robin Williams, who can forget them.
Dear Bonnie,
I was watching your show tonight (I am couple days behind it was the one with Super Nanny)Anyway, my 8 year old son came in and said. "Oh good your watching Bonnie Hunt I love this show! It's good because kids like it and Grown ups like it too." Then Super Nanny answerd questions from the audiance saying kids should watch TV for no more than and hour a day, Todd says "Nevermind this show is boring." LOL kids are so cute.
Bonnie, I have watched EVERY show you have had on television and have seen all of your movies. I love your humor and the segments with your mother are even more fun for me. I have never had anything negative to say about your show until Joan Rivers showed up. Joan Rivers proved that she is one of the most RACIST people around. I saw that she made you feel uncomfortable after you said that Paula Abdul was beautiful and Joan objected [which is her right]. However, Joan went on to say who SHE thought was beautiful [and NOT Paula Abdul]. Joan said "NICOLE KIDMAN is beautiful; Paula Abdul is cute or okay" [or something like that]. Then you tried to clean it up by saying that you came from Chicago and your judgment may not have been as keen as Joan's. I knew what you meant. Everyone knew what you meant. And it was funny. But Joan had to then take YOUR remark and turn it into something racist by saying that "Inner City Chicagoan were ugly but the Chicagoans in the suburbs were beautiful." I was never more insulted in my life. Has Joan ever looked at her OWN DAUGHTER? Has Joan ever looked in a MIRROR? I am a 59 year old black woman and remember that bearly 40 years ago, while in NYC's Village, my black girlfriends and I walked into a comedy club which headlined one of Joan Rivers' writers. The instant we walked in, he started making racist jokes, comparing us to the Supremes, etc. Even though he came up to us at the end of the show apologizing for his previous jokes, I made a mental note that day that Joan Rivers herself had to have been just as racist as that comedian who attacked us; otherwise, she would not have felt comfortable working with him. She really insulted me but I don't believe there were too many other blacks watching that day; otherwise, there would have been more than just my one letter saying that I was offended by Joan River's ignorance.
Bonnie,
Just wanted to say that I love your show and the fact that you say what we (your audience) is thinking. My aunt and I were at a taping recently and you and your staff are great, keep up the great work.
Hi Bonnie I really like your show.I was thinking maybe you could stand or sit somewhere else sometimes...
Hi Bonnie,
I love your show, and tape it each day. I'm a fellow Chicagoan (Southsider) and truly enjoy your stories about growing up in Chicago. Have you ever considered writing a book about your life stories/lessons? Or a book with your mom? Or maybe a podcast?
I love when Phil Keoghan is on. Too bad he did not do another improv skit. He is so funny and very brave. I remember for the first couple of seasons of the Amazing Race, he barely said anything; now his personality is beginning to show.
Thank you Bonnie for giving us great shows that are entertaining, funny & heartfelt.
I just saw Rain Man on WTTW (that's Chicago's PBS station). In waching the toothpick scene, I thought I recognized a kind face. That was confirmed when I saw that Bonnie Hunt played Sally Dibbs (not sure if that's the correct character name. Anyway). How fun to see Bonnie in a movie I didn't realize she was in. While there's the 6 Degrees of Kevin Bacon, I think there should be a 6 Degrees of Bonnie Hunt.
Bonnie,
I just love your show. It is so very refreshing and hilarious! I have a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Clancy and he loves your show also, especially when you have Charlie and other dogs on! Also loved the Oscar parody you did last Friday. GWTW and Casablanca. the kids were precious! Hope you have more of these parodies. Love ya. Sylvia
Bonnie,
I loved your show with David Foster. I was turning red for you. You were so adorable. I'm from a large family too so I totally get it. Mine is Italian, Catholic not Irish but the family "drama" is very much the same.
Your show is so enjoyable!!! Always enjoyable.
Thanks,
Sandy
