Re: During the Jill Frost interview you asked about 'approaching crying children in stores when you are shopping.'
The best way I handle it is to say, "My, that's a nice song you are singing. Could you sing it again?" Most of the time, they clamp their mouth shut! (Only talk to them 'IF' their parents are close and with in hearing distance, and LOOK friendly.) If, when you walk away the child starts crying again, stay where you are and
loudly say "I can still hear you." Silence.
I have had parents be appreciative, sigh, and tell me "THANK YOU." But a few parents look irritated. (That is why I mentioned they must 'LOOK FRIENDLY.') A child USUALLY
responds to someone who is a stranger. With a parent, they know WHAT they can get away with!

Just a suggetion, you have a good show but you should wear a bit of colour...black and business tops, too serious. Relax your look a bit, had some colour, and lose the black glasses- you looked prettier in the rimless.
Hi Bonnie...I am also a "charlie" though the kind that walks on two feet and can even go to the bathroom and clean up after myself!! Probably not as warm to snuggle up with at night.
I just wanted to send a quick email thanking you for the laughter and joy you bring through the TV. I'm a 35 year old male with Cystic Fibrosis and C.F. Related Diabetes. There are many days and nights when I'm stuck at home by myself sick and on IV therapy, but laughing my way back to health due to the joy your show brings. I truly believe that laughter heals our soul which in returns allows our bodies to mend.
So, I know your "day job" is the comedy thing, but because of the laughter and joy you bring to those of us ill, I guess you are still a "nurse" as well! Thank you and may you be blessed for those you help. Charlie Cook, Jacksonville, FL
PS... tell you mom thanks for the laughter she shares as well!
Hi Bonnie,
I love your show--So glad you're back on the air.
Have always enjoyed your humor. Love Alice also.
My reason for writing is Charlie and your love for him. The concern you have for his loneliness. I don't know how open you are to Animal Communication. Being a skeptic myself previously.
I've seen the reactions of my dogs w/my own eyes.
I have many stories--too many to list. A friend gave me a stray Sheltie who would not respond to the name I gave him. My friend, Jeri Ryan, came over to talk to him visually. Asked him why he didn't respond to his name. He told her it was another dog's name--which it was! Then asked what name he would like? Michael or Mark! I said: "Okay Michael Mark it is." He turned to look @ me with the biggest smile.
Maybe Charlie could help you w/your concern for him w/Jeri's help.
Jeri would consult w/you on the phone and explain to procedure.
I hesitate to leave more personal info. If you might be interested, please, return an email to my email address for additional info.
Joyce
Bonnie,
My family and I recently went to a taping of your show, we enjoyed it alot. However, where we sat you not once looked over to the audience or even acknowledged that we were there. This is to the left of the stage. During alot of the taping a camera was directly in front of us that we couldn't see you or the guest. Maybe this is normal, but it was dissappointing to us that we had to watch you on the monitors like we would if we were in our own living room. Not sure anything can or will be done but we know you like feedback from your fans. Good or bad.
Hey!
I am 21 and computer illiterate lol i know not common. but when i saw charlie he looked so similar to my dog i wanted to send a pic. i rescued my dog dallas from a kennel in south carolina and they didn't know his breed. he is an incredibly sweet dog that looks like charlie but acts like a human lol. if there is an email in which i can send his photo i would love to share. please let me know.
This is the best talk show host in history. Why? Because Bonnie represnts the "moral fiber" that this country should be always reminded about. Her comments (although sometimes slightly adult oriented but always funny) are always thoughtful of the children and teenagers watching. With today's show, Bonnie's stance and comments about that stupid title "He's Just not That Into You" were outstanding! My 14yr. old daughter loves Bonnie and the comments Bonnie made reflecting on that title was a great thing for my dauther to hear. She would not have heard that on any other show or from any other entertainer in Hollywood.
The Bonnie Hunt show should be up for an Emmy and Winner for BEST TALK SHOW HOST EVER!
Thank you Bonnie! I look forward to soon comming to one of the shows. Keep up the GREAT work, and letting teenagers know how to behave properly and about the others (O.C. Hosewifes) out there that are selfish and somewhat irresponsible childish self absorbed adults.
Bonnie, thank you for being an insperation to my teenage daughter that bascially teaches and shows her how to be respectful, responsible, and not so self absorbed.
How do you do that without getting into politics or religions?
Bonnie, you have a gift. Thank You.
A Teenagers' Dad from West Hills
Tell Alice she is the highlight of my week. Can hardly wait until Weds. Last week was the best. You are so lucky to have her in your life.

Hi, Bonnie! As a native Illinois girl living in California, I love watching your show everyday...there are so many midwestern things to relate on. Any who, I just wanted to let you know that I highly recommend READING He's Just Not That Into You. The title DOES seem harsh, but after I read it, I passed it along to 5 girlfriends. It's not about saying you're not good enough, it's about having the dignity to move on and not make excuses. Be them true or not, there is no sense on wasting your time on a guy for whatever reason. I think you'll find the book more empowering than what you expect. I'm pretty feminist in my views and I didn't find it offensive. There are things you'll question sure, but over all, it's really not as harsh as you would think. It made me a smarter dater and young woman! Love you, and you can borrow my copy if you'd like! (There's the midwest for you...)

I am not A-ROD but Bonnie I think you have such a way about you, you make me want to watch your show, when I can't I recored it. You have such a great personality and you have so much fun and your smile, well it is great. I have been a fan for a lonf time.
Dear Bonnie:
I wanted to let you know how much my husband and I just love your show. We've watched you on David Letterman, every movie you've been in, your previous television show, and more. You are such a joy with the way you treat all of your guest. I know I speak for my husband as well as myself when I say that we pray your talk show stays on for years. Thank you for being so wonderful with the adopt-a-pet, and of course how much you love children. I think your mom, Alice, did a great job when it came to having a daughter like you. Thanks for not trying to push all of your political views or more such as Rosie always did with her television program. It became a little to much as the years went on. When you and your mom started laughing about her eyes being closed. Well my husband, Stan, and I were laughing so hard we both started crying. We watch or record your show when we can't watch it when it comes on. Once again "Thank You" for a fab program. Please do not change? We pray that some day we will be able to meet you in person. Maybe in March of this year when we celebrate our 38th wedding anniversary. Oh, there is someone out there for you. Plus, you will make such a beautiful mom someday. Or just adopt a child. Like you have with your pet, Charlie. Until God blesses us with meeting you in person, keep up the wonderful job and giving us that lovely smile everyday. God keep you and yours safe, healthy, and blessed always.

Hi Bonnie,
I watch you show every day and love it. It is my bright spot of the day. I am also from Chicago and love it. I think we Chicagoans have a great sense of humor. Maybe we learned to laugh at ourselves more than most. It is great to be able to laugh times being what they are. Which is why I need your help. In January you had a young man on that has a website showing babies and animals laughing and also babies and animals falling asleep. My 'windows' crashed and I lost the web address. Can you help?
Just know I'm watching every day.
Love, Carol
Jo Frost is a beautiful person inside and out as you are Bonnie!
I ALWAYS love your shows and North Carolina LOVES you gal!~
Dear Bonnie,
I watch your show with my son who is dependent on a ventiolator and we are both so grateful for your amazing show.It is such a refreshing change from all the other shows out there. It is truly the highlight of our day.
My son thinks you are beautiful and incredibily talented and I couldn't agree more.
One of our favorite segements is with your wonderful mother. You are both so witty and funny not to mention all the great advice and wisdom you share with your audience.
Our hope is that you stay on the air for many years to come.
Thank you and thank your mother for raising such a wonderful, talented daughter.
Hi Bonnie! Have you ever considered running for elected office? Think about it!

I just love the Bonnie Hunt Show. A couple of weeks ago, my daughter called and said, "Mom, turn on the TV to the Bonnie Hunt Show and see the cute little puppies. I had never watched it before, but now I tape it every day so I don't miss a show. Thanks for all the laughs, I love it!!!
I want to get my wife a coffee mug like the one you use on the show. She was in the hospital last week and we watched your show together. She picked up on the fact that you and she have the same initials.
Anyway, can you get me information as to how I can buy a Bonnie Hunt "BH" coffee mug ? Joe
Bonnie,
I think you should go on a date with Chris Hardwick. ( Thursday's show) I know your one guest was going to set you up with someone, but I think you found him on your own. Plus, the two of you make a cute couple!!!
I always tape your show and watch it after work. Thanks for the laughs, it makes my day!
A fan!
