SHOW RECAP
Peter Reckell & Kristian Alfonso ('Days Of Our Lives'): They have been playing the long running couple, 'Bo and Hope' in the fictitious town of Salem for 25 years. Over that time these two have run the gamut of plot lines, and most currently Bo is having premonitions and Hope accidentally shoots someone! Bonnie catches up with these soap legends and shows a vintage Bo & Hope scene.
Yvonne Strahovski ('Chuck'): She's plays a CIA agent with an unknown childhood, but there's no mystery to this native Australian's past. Bonnie hears how she got the part on this hit show when she was living halfway around the world. She may be a tomboy who does all her own stunts on the show, but find out what tiny, 8-legged thing scares her.
Ariel Hsing: This incredibly talented table tennis champion is poised to be in the next Olympics, has been challenged to matches by Bill Gates and Warren Buffet, and is only 12-years-old. Check out this amazing young girl as she shows Bonnie some of her impressive skills.
Dina Zaphiris: She's our resident dog expert and she's back again with more adorable and available pups up for adoption. Make sure you tune in to get some helpful pointers and see if there is a furry friend that you want to give a home. |
your web page is so hard. i would like to donate to the cancer charity you always talk about but cant find it. would you please let me know what i need to do to find the site. thank you. you are so funny and make my day before i go to work. thank you
Bonnie, I think you're great, as an actress & person I enjoyed that you had on Peter Reckell
& Kristian Alfonso.
i miss the show when bo and hope from days was on is there anyway i can watch it or anyone tell me what happened?
Aloha Bonnie;
I'm an animal lover too,...dogs,horses & cats, but most of all I'm writing to commend you on your dog adoption portion of your show,as I have adopted three greyhounds from Hemopet, and I have to tell you that this was the most wonderful thing to happen to my husband & myself, I have always had dogs in my life from as far back as I can remember. These are the most amazing dogs that I have had the honor to own.
Since you are a nurse, you will be interested in knowing that greyhounds blood is universal to all other dogs, & at Hemopet they donate blood for 18 months & then are put up for adoption, I notice you have a link to Hemopet...why not do a program about greys,& have some on your show, they are the most well mannered dogs in the world. They're the "cats meow".It takes me 4 to 6 months to adopt a dog,as we live in Hawaii & have very strict quarantine laws(no rabies.) Please give a thought to showing off these elegant hounds, as I think Dina Zaphiris has a connection with Hemopet. Aloha, Janice Yamaguchi,Pearl City, Hawaii
Dogs do suffer. They communicate with their tails, and ears (you mentioned this on your show).
All the dogs were wonderful. This should become a regular on your show!
I have two rescues - Papillon, and retired Greyhound. And two road rescues - their mama was hit by a driver who did not stop! We found homes for everyone but two, who we kept!
Thanks for a really wonderful show!
Hey Bonnie. I love the show. I am a long time "Days" fan since the beginning. I love Kristian's jewelry. She said it is her own line of jewelry. I notice she wears it on "Days" as well. I would love to know where to purchase it. Can you tell us? Please e-mail me back with a site or address. Keep up the good work...You crack me up.
Jan
p.s. don't wear a dress when you slide down the pole...ha, ha.
Hi Bonnie and your wonderful team-
I'm trying to post a caption on your photo for this week and am not sure that I'm doing it correctly. I'd like it to say "Come on Snoopy,we gotta get going! Charlie needs a new roommate!! And I'm not sure that I've done it right as I've never submitted one before ....there were zillions....thanks.Good luck in your search.
I love your talent and Charlie.
I loved your show about all those dogs and I appreciate that you read the letter about the woman who was attacked by the bear! I was really happy to hear that her 2 dogs were alright! Thanks so much for the wonderful shows!
THANKS FOR COMMENTING ON ALECIA JACOBS AND HER TRAVELING POOCH. MISS NEVADA OR NOT,WHO CARES. I HAVE NEVER BEEN A FAN OF MS. (NOT MISS) JACOBS, WHO IN LIGHT OF WHAT I HAVE I HAVE NOTICED OVER THE YEARS,SEEMS TO THRIVE ON GETTING ATTENTION ANY WAY THAT SHE CAN. THIS LATEST ATTEMPT IS EQUALLY DITZY. SHE IS SORT OF A CELEBRITY WANNABE AT BEST.
Hi Bonnie,
Love the show. I wanted to comment on your segment with Allena and the dogs with the bear attack. I understand her not wanting to stress out her dogs. Havent they been through enough. PLEASE PLEASE don't make her bring the dogs to the show just for ratings. I think it would be wonderful if you went to the ranch instead and showed a segment that way.
ROAD TRIP Bonnie you can do it!
Bonnie,
Loved the segment on Monday about the dogs. It's obvious that you and Fred have a real connection. I think you should adopt him ASAP!!
Hi Bonnie - I love the show and have always enjoyed watching you. However - these new blouses are a fashion "don't"! Please - give them up. They are just not flattering to you. The wild prints are too distracting and its unsettling to watch you wearing them. PLEASE reconsider and try some more tasteful and flattering outfits.
Why not have your "colors" done on the show and be inspired to wear the colors that are most flattering to you.
The blue jacket/white top you have on at the top of your website is very flattering and attractive on you!

What is wrong with you people..
You asked:
Did you and your live in girlfriend lady enjoy Las Vegas?
You look so nice without glasses. Try that on the show and see what viewers like best.
..or is that your cover no glasses when you party with your leading lady in vegas

Dear Bonnie,
As a long time dog lover and partner with dogs all my life, that one dog Fred who wanted to be with you is THE ONE!! He just wanted to be with you, not get out the cage, but get out the cage and be with you.
Once there was a dog in the shelter, he was a mean dog, not even the vet wanted to deal with him. I volunteered to walk dogs in the park to get them away from the shelter for a bit of time and this one dog I made sure that I would take him on long walks in the park. One day I was sitting waiting for him to be brought out, once he saw me he jumped in my lap and licked my face like I was 'his'. Yes, I took him home. One night after taking Andy home, there was noise outside my bedroom window at a time when there was a man climbing into windows and doing nasty things to women. Andy hear the noise and I had to hold him back from going through the screen.
He would not come back to bed, yes Andy had his own side of the bed, but sat up all night under that window. I felt safe and went back to much needed sleep. Andy is gone now, but I'll always love Andy. No, I didn't get a replacement because dogs choose YOU, you don't choose the dog.
Wind up is this: That cute lil black and white dog choose YOU!! Go with it! Dogs are angels on earth and he was sent to you. Please Bonnie!!
Btw, I watch you every night which has thrown off my sleep schedule off by 4 hours! I can't get you in the daytime. Geez! Still I love you and your show.
I think Fred is the dog for you. He was so content to sit in your lap and let you hold him.
You will be happy with him and so will Charlie.
KEEP FRED!!! HE IS DRAWN TO YOU!! CHARLIE WILL FALL IN LOVE WITH HIM TOO!!!
KEEP FRED!!
Comments on the show... just a suggestion actually. When you are reading viewers letters out loud, you might want to look at the paper you are reading from more often and when you set the paper down to finish the letter make sure we can't see that the page is blank. You could tell us viewers that you have read the letter so much that you have it memorized then you could just read it off the promptor like today and just say it was memorized. Reading some of the other comments, I have to wonder if you and Ellen Degenerist have more in common than talk shows... Like maybe you both have blonde hair?
Love the show, love the adopt-a-dog segments. But please find a "dog expert" who really knows what they are talking about.
Dogs with erect ears do not 'suffer', and actually the erect ear is the preferred ear naturally selected by Mother Nature in the wild.
Neither do dogs 'suffer' by having a docked tail. Docked & cropped dogs are just like any other dog, and are able to socialize normally with other dogs and people.
Further, someone (Dina?) should do her homework and learn that there is actually a *shortage* of adoptable dogs in urban shelters, primarily of small dogs. Thus, for quite some time dogs have been brought into urban shelters to fill the demand, these dogs coming from other states, other regions, and now even from other countries.
Dogs arriving at US shelters from other countries present a distinct danger of being unvaccinated and exposing humans and dogs in this country to heretofore rare diseases in this country.
Further, this importing of dogs from rural shelters with low adoption demand to urban shelters with high demand, as well as the importing from foreign countries, presents a distortion of pet overpopulation. Pet overpopulation is a MYTH, perpetuated by those like PETA with an agenda to end all human-animal interaction.
Please someone educate Dina and Bonnie. Goggle it. Yes, owner education should be paramount, voluntary spay/neuter should be encouraged as should responsible dog ownership (training, socialization, containment in fenced yards, leash laws, etc). Simple "Love" of an animal does not a good owner make.
Bonnie, please find another dog "expert", one who knows of what she speaks.
Her description in today's show (02-09)of what could well be a purebred standard Manchester terrier as a min pin/dobe mix is a joke!

PS I have owned/trained dogs of all breeds for over 25 years, and am a former training instructor in a local obedience club located in an extremely large metropolitan urban area.
I just have to add my two cents...yes, I think Fred may be the one. If you're concerned about him escaping over the fence, maybe you could create an enclosure for him. We had a pen built for our dogs several years ago. It's good size, about 18'x32'and 6' high with a pet door into the family room. Both of our dogs have passed on but we have 3 cats who love to be outdoors. The cats could easily scale the fence, so we attached chicken wire at the top of the fence all the way around the perimeter and they are now unable to climb over it. There is a commercial product available that does the same thing, but the chicken wire is a lot cheaper and works just as well. I'll send you a photo when I get a minute. (It's not the most attractive set-up, but who cares as long as it works!)
