Ingredients
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 pound (about 3 to 4) fresh poblano chilies, seeded, ribs removed and roughly chopped
6 garlic cloves, finely minced
1 pound tomatillos, husked, rinsed and quartered
1 1/2 teaspoons salt plus extra for the shrimp
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 pounds large shrimp, peeled and deveined
Freshly ground pepper
4 cups fresh cilantro leaves
|
Directions
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat for 1 minute. Add the chopped chilies and 1/2 of the garlic and cook until the peppers start to soften, about 5 minutes. Add the tomatillos and 1 1/2 teaspoons of salt, reduce the heat to medium-low and cook until the tomatillos begin to break down and release some liquid, about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Transfer the tomatillo sauce to your blender, purée, and set aside.
Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp, season them with some salt and pepper and the remaining chopped garlic. Cook until the garlic becomes fragrant, 1 to 2 minutes, stirring often. Add the tomatillo sauce and simmer until the shrimp are curled and opaque, 1 to 2 minutes. Serve sprinkled with the cilantro.

I missed the segment on the show that aired 7-13, Bonnie was going to share how her X's folds and stores tee's. If I could get that info that would be great. Thanks
on today's show- July 13th (It was a repeat of the show with Richard Gere) Bonnie had told a story that had something to do with 11 roses that her mom had done or told her about. Her sidekick guy had said that it was very poetic. Does anyone remember what the story was?

Hi Bonnie I just wanted to say I'm so sorry to here about Charlie I hope he will get better and start getting back to his old self soon please give him a Big Doggy Kiss, I too am a animal lover and lost my German Shepard/Collie 2 yrs ago and I know how we animal lovers can get attach his name was Buddy and just by looking at Charlie I know they would have became best friends. Buddy was stricken with pancreatitis and he died in my arms 24 hrs after being to vet. I was so sad to loose him that way that within a week I adopted another dog same bred and his name is Sonny and I know Charlie and him would have so much fun together, he is such a smart dog and the only thing I have to watch for with Sonny is the frogs that come and jump in our pond which is in our backyard he can spend hours just looking in the pond waiting for the frogs and it is so cute to see, I too keep him off any lawns that have those stickers on them because I know that they are treated. I live in Montreal, Canada and where we are the government band the use of any chemicals for the lawn, the products you can get are all natural but I still don't take any chances, when I see a sticker I pull Sonny away because you never know. By the way I just love your show and I even got my mum watching you, we both think you and your show is great.

I sent Bonnie a copy of my book, "The Day I Saw a Dragonfly." I just wanted to know if she received it.
Thanks- Heather
Dear Bonnie,
I will watch you again today @ 2:00 ! You really are a fun, kind and genuine gal. I'm sure your guests look forward to appearing on your show. I have applied for tickets to the show on Sept 3rd (it's my husband Eric's birthday . He adores you Bonnie, I tease him in the morning that he Called out your name in the middle of the night ; ) ) Bravo to you ! Greetings from the East coast. Laura
Daytime syndicated shows such as Bonnie's (other examples is "Ellen") almost always go on "hiatus" for the summer. New shows will start after Labor Day.
I'm wondering the same thing. Has the show been cancelled? Does anyone know what's going on?
why have the shows been repeats for the past three weeks?
