SHOW RECAP
Lily Tomlin ("Not Playing with a Full Deck"): Lily is celebrating 40 years in entertainment, and Bonnie is thrilled to welcome this incredible comic actress to the show. She'll tell us about her humble beginnings, putting on shows with her brother in their living room -- and her return to the stage with her one-woman show in Las Vegas. Make sure you don't miss it when Bonnie surprises Lily with one of her "Laugh-In" co-stars.

David Zinczenko ("Eat This, Not That"): As the Editor-in-Chief of Men's Health magazine, David knows what he's talking about when he tells you that if you're eating one vegetarian sandwich at Blimpie, it's the same as eating seven Sammies at Quiznos. David will expose how "eating healthy" could actually make you gain weight -- not lose it!

NEXT: Friday, October 30 -- Bonnie's 80's Halloween Show!

Dear Bonnie,
Love, love, love you and your show. I feel I must comment on David Z's "Eat This Not That" segment. People need to listen and discern the REAL message: He is NOT telling you to eat the unhealthy things. What he is saying is that you should not be fooled into thinking that many of the foods that you think are healthy are actually not heathful and he compares the so-called "healthy" foods to the content of very unhealthy foods. Its all about choices and his message is crystal clear: KNOW WHAT YOU ARE PUTTING INTO YOUR BODY AND MAKE THE HEALTHIEST CHOICES THAT YOU CAN!!!!!!!

I was watching Monday's show, and at the end Bonnie shows a you tube video of a dog playing the piano and the man telling him to keep playing if he wanted to get a treat.. The gentleman, I feel was very cruel in making this dog play the piano.. The dog was trying so hard to please him in order to get food.. I think the man was abusive in doing this to that dog! Maybe he does it to the dog all the time!

Maybe this gentleman will not feed the dog unless he or she continually plays the piano to this man's perfection.. It still looks very cruel to me!

I live in ca. up by yosemite nat. park, they
took off bonnie and put dr. oz and I can not
find out when she is on. If anyone from the
show reads this please email me and let me
know when she is on and what channel she may
be on now. Thank you

Oh, one more thing...Lily Tomlin and Joanne Worley were fabulous!! The story of the sectional and Joanne apologizing for taking up Lily's time...sweet and fun!! Please have guests like this on more often. I realize you need to book the latest thing, but throwing in some blasts from the past would be the cherry on the whipped cream ( and without the ice cream, I would think a cherry and whipped cream are the equivalent to...a blueberry and non dairy creamer:) Just kidding, I loved him on today's show too!

Bonnie, I love your movies. I love your TV shows. I've been watching this show since day one and it just gets better and better!! You are always genuine, sincere, and quick witted. Now the shows quality has caught up to you! What a wonderful crew. The 80's show was off the chart hilarious...Facts of Life, Hall and Oats, and your mom...BRAVO!!!! Wishing you many years to come!!

Hey Bonnie,

Thanks for having Lily Tomlin and Jo Ann Worley on the show...You made my day...I have loved Lily Tomlin for yrs. and can remember buying her album way back in the 70's and playing it over and over...love Edith Ann and Ernestine....

Thanks again Bonnie u r the greatest!!!!
Irene

Fantastic show today with Lily Tomlin and Joanne Worley! They both still look great and brought back a lot of wonderful memories!

What an awesome show today and I wondered how you'd outdo your Halloween show with all the great laughs & costumes!

Today I got to see my favorite talk show host along with one of my all time favorite female comedians, Lilly Tomlin plus an education on foods and healthier choices. All this, while laughing out loud for the length of your show!

I'm so grateful for your awesome humor and the chance to enjoy you and your guests each day.

Grazie Mille Bella Bonnie!

Saw David Zinczenko on your show and what he was pointing out was astonishing. You'd think most people would already know how horrible those foods are......but what he didn't go into, about even the good foods or the eat this not that idea is that he should have pointed out the fructose corn syrup that is killing even the "good" foods. I can't figure out why it is that people are scared to fight against fructose corn syrup ? I know it's a money thing with Monsanto......but it's getting ridiculous now. The corn syrup is as bad as the hydrogenated oils and we need to start pointing that out to the public.
Thanks...;-)

I was just watching the show, and was rather appalled at what David Zinczenco was saying. Alicia from Waterloo, thanks for your comments. I couldn't agree with you more, and I hope everyone who is under the impression that the author was providing useful information reads your comments carefully. I will further add that most of the time he sounded as if he were, in fact, simply promoting Big Foods. I can't imagine that anyone would think Froot Loops, with its 12 grams of suger, a healthy alternative to anything at all. Both products are simply bad for anyone. His contect was so incredibly limited as well; doesn't anyone in America cook?
Bonnie, I enjoy your show, but in some cases, this being a critical example, your researchers need to be more thorough.
Your faithful viewers and fans deserve better.

Hi Bonnie,
I also love your shows! I record your shows on DVR and catch the show in the evening after work.
I grew up in the South Side of Chicago and love it when you talk about Chicago when we were kids and how we would talk. We would call the living room the fron-troom.
Lily Tomlin was so funny.
Your show is great! Thanks for being so real.

Genevieve

I watch your show whenever I can. We lived south of Chicago in Lansing before we moved to Florida in 1974, so all the Chi town references are great. I love your wit! Today's show was awesome with Lily and the guy with the food book. I'm gonna see if I can find it at the book store.
At the start of every show, you always act modest but people do love you and your style. I notice actors usually begin to fall in life when they take themselves too seriously. You just enjoy life and laughs and love and friends and your life has "gone to the dogs". Good for you. Keep up the great work.

Bonnie: loved the show today. I watch you everyday! I'm not a big Halloween fan, but loved your show as well on friday.

You are such a real person and are just yourself, so your talent shines through. Hope your show stays on for years. You seems to be having a great time with the show, I'm so glad for you.

I will be watching tomorrow.

Keep up the good work.

ps. not everyone is going to like every segment of every show. I think you do a great job giving us all kinds of tips and things we should think about.

I too, love your show Bonnie. I am in Collingwood, Ontario, Canada, and was disappointed however, that I couldn't enter the draw for the book today. I loved seeing Lily Tomlin on your show, remember when she used to sit in the huge rocking chair? JoAnne Worsley hasn't changed one iota! I love her voice. It was really eye popping to see the comparisons of the food calories and fat. Isn't it annoying when you think you are eating the best thing, to find out it really wasn't. Continue to be the wonderful, classy woman you are, my husband and I wouldn't miss your show!

I retired several months ago and began watching your show. I appreciate the amount of time you spend with your guests -- they're not on and off the set in 5 minutes! Lily Tomlin is always a pleasure to see. I'm old enough to remember "Laugh-In" and saw her years ago in her show "Search for Intelligent Life in the Universe". Also enjoy your mom's appearances. Thanks for doing such a good job.

Hey, Bonnie,

I LOVE your show. I am so glad that in today's tv landscape of glamorizing sex, drug use, violence, and just general loss of morals a show like yours is on the air and thriving. You are a truly compassionate, giving, beautiful woman whose inner beauty shines for the world to see and makes you even more beautiful on the outside. Keep up the good work!! Oh, and give Charlie a hug for me.

Hey Bonnie, never miss your show! For the first time today, I wanted to submit a photo caption. Unfortunately, the official rules indicate that only US residents can participate. I am one disappointed Canadian! Didn't you say that today's photo was submitted by one of my fellow British Columbians? What gives?

Hey Bonnie:

I love your show...I have been watching since I was laid off a few months ago...and it brings me great pleasure...but today I went with a friend to "God's Garden" in Illinios to get out for a day and I will be you did the photo caption contest...Can someone please e-mail and tell me the three captions you choose. I love that segment and always enter some stupid thinbg...but I LOVE hearing everyone else's wit...it is charming! Thanks! Mysti

I enjoy your show, but think your guest today missed the mark. Just because a food has less calories does not mean it's *healthier*. I know you're trying to diet, and I also agree that it's important that Americans know what they're eating. Eating empty calories is worse than eating a higher-calorie food that's rich in nutrients and healthy. I understand the point that was trying to be made, but I think viewers might get the idea that they might as well be eating a plate of donuts. Just thought this needed to be pointed out.

INTERESTING, FUNNY AND ENJOYABLE AS ALWAYS. GOOD SELECTION OF GUESTS. MY WIFE, VERA, AND I WATCH AS OFTEN AS WE CAN. ALSO ENJOY YOUR MOTHER'S COMMENTS. YOU AND YOUR CREW KEEP UP THE GOOD WORKS.
