SHOW RECAP
Rosie O'Donnell ("America"): An advocate for adoption, Rosie's movie deals with what happens to kids in the system when they turn 18 and have not found homes. She co-wrote, produced and stars in the film. She'll share one of her favorite craft projects using a Munny. What's a Munny? Tune in to find out!
Oliver Hudson ("Rules of Engagement"): He may be the son of Goldie Hawn and brother to Kate Hudson, but this actor holds his comedic own on this CBS sitcom. Sadly, he doesn't fair as well at poker -- hear what happened when he player in the World Series of Poker. |

Why does the newsletter come so late? Today it didn't come until 2 hours after the show.
Hi Bonnie,
Love your show, I've been a fan for a long time...Any chance of getting a copy of your Mom's
(She's great!), teen creed for my girl?
All the best,
Jeff
Dear Bonnie.
I saw your show last week. I think it may have been a repeat but I'm hoping you can tell me the cite for the funny pets. The man said it was odiotanto.com but I can't find it. Could you please send me the address for his cite? Thankyou. Your fan Sally
Bonnie,
Love the show. I especially enjoy the personal side of things - when you share stories, wisdom from you parents and grandparents. I would like to pass on to my teenager the "Teenagers Creed" I know alot of her friends (and mine) would like to get a copy of it also. Thanks for sharing it. Where can I get a print out of it?
Have a great day and know you do make a difference.
Thank you.
Dorothy J.
Dear Bonnie,
Just loved your show today. I alway like seeing the dogs and have learned alot. I just love to hear your Mothers comments. She is just adorable and so sweet. I would love to have the Teen Creed you shared that she gave you when your were about 12 I think.
Could you post it on your web site.
Thank you,
See you on TV tomorrow.
Patty
Hello Bonnie! I just adore you and your show!! I watch it everyday! Today's show really touched my heart when you recited the Teenagers Creed from your childhood and how you told the story about your mom coming to pick you up for that store. I just got married this February and when you said that your mom put that coin in the card and said, "If you don't like him call me and i will come pick you up." reminds me of everytime I call my daddy. Every time I call him just to say hi, when we go to say goodbye he always asks me, "are you happy?" of corse I say yes and he replies with sadness in his voice(in a joking manner of corse)"oh...ok. Well you can come home any time!"
I always giggle and tell him I love him and miss him. Anyways, what i really wanted to say was will you please put the clip from your show on the web?!? That whole intro that you tell that story and say the Teenagers Creed! I wanted to show my husband. He never gets to see because he is at work. Please put it on here!
Thanks so much for all the joy you bring. I love you so much!
Your Friend and Fan,

Love your show, have you with my breakfast every day. Your Teen Creed is something I would love to have to give to my grandsons. It was truly the most wonderful, sensible creed I have heard in a long time. Thanks for a fantastic show, with humor and pathos, Love it and especially your Mom. I am a Senior, too.
Keep up the good work.
Janet
I watched your showed today July 2, 2009. It was a rerun and the show featured Rosie. At the beginning of the show you recited a poem that your Mom ( I think?)used to say to you. I missed the very beginning but it was advice to a child. I thought it was beautiful and would love to have a written copy of it to give to my son. The message of love of family, self respect, making a difference in the world and the role that each of us plays in all of these was wonderful. So I hope you could either send me a copy of it or at least let me know what the title of the piece is or who the author of the piece is so that I can locate it. Thanks so much.
I love your show and am an avid viewer!
I miss your live show when will you return?
Please tell me where I can get a copy of the Teen Creed?
Your Mom was such a phenomenal person, how blessed you and your siblings were to have her as a parent!

I enjoyed your Teen Card your Mom gave you. Would it be possible to email me a copy of it? I would like to share it with the youth of our church.

Bonnie,
I am a loyal fan of your show and movie career. I especially enjoyed you in your own movie Return
To Me.
I noticed on your shows you tend to wear a lot of
dark clothing. I know dark is supposed to be sliming, but with your figure, why not try brighter colors?
BTW, Court Room Word of the Day Rocks!!!
Sincerely,
Holly Jones
When are you comming back on T.V. live??...and when do these"see it? want it? win it!" contests end for you to pick winners??
Doug
please please ,like eveyone else, send me the teen creed . I would like to share it with my grand childredn and my children . this can be for adults also
Hi-
I love you and and the show!! Can you please direct me to the Teen Creed or forward it via email to me? Your mother is an angel and when I heard that it made me weep as my sons are 17 and 21 and I always tried to do caring, thoughtful things for them as well and would love to give the creed to each of them on their upcoming birthdays as gifts received and shared of this nature are truly priceless!!
With gratitude, Lisa
There is a teen creed for your teens and then there is one for your dog and cat
Wasn't there one more line to this Teen Creed?
I love the Teen Creed! I looked it up on line & have made copies for all my teenage grandchildren. I also found a Story" for parents of teens--it's called Dog and Cat
I just realized that while children are dogs
-- loyal and affectionate --
teenagers are cats.
It's so easy to be a dog owner.
You feed it, train it, boss it around.
It puts its head on your knee
and gazes at you as if you were a Rembrandt painting.
It bounds indoors with enthusiasm when you call it.
Then around age 13, your adoring little puppy turns into a big old cat.
When you tell it to come inside, it looks amazed,
as if wondering who died and made you emperor.
Instead of dogging your doorsteps, it disappears.
You won't see it again until it gets hungry --
then it pauses on its sprint through the kitchen
long enough to turn its nose up at whatever you're serving.
When you reach out to ruffle its head,
in that old affectionate gesture,
it twists away from you,
then gives you a blank stare,
as if trying to remember
where it has seen you before.
You, not realizing that the dog is now a cat,
think something must be desperately wrong with it. It seems so antisocial, so distant, sort of depressed. It won't go on family outings.
Since you're the one who raised it,
taught it to fetch and stay and sit on command,
you assume that you did something wrong.
Flooded with guilt and fear, you redouble your efforts to make your pet behave. Only now you're dealing with a cat, so everything that worked before now produces the opposite of the desired result.
Call it, and it runs away.
Tell it to sit, and it jumps on the counter.
The more you go toward it,wringing your hands,
the more it moves away.
Instead of continuing to act like a dog owner,
you can learn to behave like a cat owner.
Put a dish of food near the door,
and let it come to you.
But remember that a cat needs your help and your affection too.
Sit still, and it will come, seeking that warm, comforting lap it has not entirely forgotten.
Be there to open the door for it.
One day your grown-up child will walk into the kitchen, give you a big kiss and say,
"You've been on your feet all day. Let me get those dishes for you."
Then you'll realize your cat is a dog again.
