I want to thank the blogger very much not only for this post but also for his all previous efforts. I found www.bonniehunt.com to be greatly interesting. I will be coming back to www.bonniehunt.com for more information.

I think the comments about breast feeding were not helpful, especially when given to a pregnant woman due to deliver soon. Why scare her to death unnecessarily? Breastfeeding can be uncomfortable at the beginning but I never felt like I was being stapled, nor did it hurt enough to make me cry. My nipples stung a little until the milk started flowing freely but it was never enough pain to make me fearful of breastfeeding. To imply that it would be that painful for months is just not true. And while I agree breast fed babies poop is less smelly than bottle fed, I certainly wouldn't say it smells like popcorn. Every baby is different. I can just see new mothers worrying because their babies poop doesn't smell the right way.

It goes without saying that I won't be tempted to eat it. I know that was supposed to be a joke but it fell very flat for me. The whole episode made me cringe. It was clear that Bonnie was cringing too. Every time Bonnie tried to say something the blogger person interrupted her.

I'm willing to bet she won't be invited back.

Love your show Bonnie, but PLEASE no more mommy bloggers! That Heather woman was very weird. I checked out her site and there does seem to be some mental illness there and I'm not talking about PPD. She made those Kardashian sisters seem approachable and loving. I noticed you whinced at her and her comments. And it looks like not many people liked her. She should stick to typing I think. Do your research Bonnie! And no more Kardashians either! Please!

Bonnie,

I love your guest Heather Armstrong. I personally have 10 years experience breast feeding my five children. Finally, a mother tells the truth. Breast feeding DOES hurt for the first few weeks.

Heather was funny and a breath of fresh air.

The outright hate for Heather Armstrong turns my stomach. You met her please set the record straight.

Hate hurts everyone.......

Jennifer :)

I didn't think Heather was awful like many commenters have stated (btw, there is a group of haters who follow a couple of anti-dooce blogs...they seem to be posting a lot over here) I'm pretty neutral with her. Sometimes I love her writing, and sometimes both she and her husband come across as very narcissistic. But what blogger isn't, anyway? However, she is making a great living with her website, and who can blame her for that?

I DO agree with her about breastfeeding, though. I tried and tried with my son. Went to workshops, nurses, etc. for help. Even went to a breastfeeding clinic 50 miles away from my home for help. My son would just not latch on, and it was the most painful thing I have EVER experienced. I remember trying to contain my screams and crying curing the middle of the night. I ended up pumping and bottle feeding him for 4 months so he would still get the nutritional benefits. Not a great experience.

Heather the mommyblogger author was extremely unentertaining, unlikeable and just plain wrong, and the Kardasians...? You are wonderful and deserve a better quality of guests who have class and are making actual contributions to the world, so whoever is booking your show needs a spanking and a warning. I have no problem with humor if it is FUNNY, but without that redemptive factor, attempts are just painful.

Looking forward to Reba tomorrow and Nia on Thursday though! Much better strong funny women!

Bonnie- I love you and your show, but I was VERY disappointed when I watched this show. Heather Armstrong is NO expert on being a mother. Just because she birthed TWO daughters(acknowledging only one on the show)? She was extremely uncomfortable to watch. Breastfeeding is different from person to person- I think you knew that, but the "expert" says it hurts, so her's is the only opinion that matters?

She's nuts. And whatever medication she's taking for her depression is going right into that baby!

Please heed the suggestions of these comments and do a little more research when booking guests. And please- no more Heather!

Hi Bonnie! I love your show, usually. That mommy blogger Heather Armstrong was seriously strange. I could tell you didn't like her, and just letting you know, I don't think most of your viewers liked her. I do see her fans from her site have been here and left their blog links.
What was up with her clicking her tongue? She seemed rude and full of herself. I loved that you rolled your eyes at her.
Please consider never having a blogger on again. Like some of the others I think there's a reason they're at home in front of a computer for a living. She definately has a face for radio. But also she doesn't have a voice for radio, so she better stick to typing.

DOOCE needs her own reality show! Seriously, she is way more entertaining that those boring sisters.

Hey who stuck the Suave Spam in our comment? Where are our internet royalties for that? yeah yeah the check's in the mail...

;-)

There is nothing REAL or maternal about Dooce. Her "mommy blahg" is a self-worshiping Dooce -love-fest.

Here is some advice Bonnie: Have your interns hop on the net and read some REAL mom bloggers who actually PARENT their kids and write about their actual parenting experiences. Have them on your show because there are some fantastic ones out there...we should know...HAHA! They can offer real insight. Secondly, have those same interns learn to disseminate GOOD quality writing from rambling anti-depressant rants and nonsense. Forget being a decent parent, Dooce is not even a decent writer! Blech!

Hi Bonnie, I got caught up on your show this afternoon. I'm excited for the new season. I came here thinking I was going to leave a comment about your mommy blogging guest, and thought that maybe I was making too big of a deal out of it. Apparently not.

I have actually seen Heather before on Oprah and I didn't like her then. I actually don’t think Oprah liked her much either but. that’s neither here nor there. Out of all the moms they had on there she was the mother who came across as anti anything fun and childlike. Then to see her on your show was another one of those "why is she here, she hates parenting? Thoughts". It's clear that Heather is quite pompous and finds herself to be very funny. I get sarcasm, I love sarcasm, she’s was just not funny period. I could hear the forced laughter from your set even. She's not an expert on anything parent related, and if you're read her blog long enough which I did after I saw her on Oprah you’d know that too. What is ironic is that she's called a "mommy blogger." Heather needs to stick to the blogging world where she's accepted, mostly. There's a saying that you can have a face for radio, Heather has a personality made for the Internet.

Also I want to add that as the daughter of a Nurse I was offended that she disregarded anything you had to say. I could see the love and affection you'd have for a baby while changing them, And you came across quite knowledgeable.

Heather Armstrong's humor was the ONLY thing saving that segment. She was honest and witty making both Kardashian sisters seem boring. Which they are. YAY DOOCE.

Ok, who was that awful woman in the blue making those weird smacking noises? Dooce? A nickname for um...bowel movements? I'm not into the mommyblogger world or blogging world and have no opinion on breastfeeding, but I hardly think that it's constructive to tell a mother to be that breastfeeding feels like a stapler. WINCE.

Sorry, that should say "aren't" willing to pretend that motherhood "is".

I am so glad there are so many moms here that had such a fantastic experience with breastfeeding but the truth is it is hard and painful for lots of women. I happily nursed three children, two of them for more than 2 years but you know what? It isn't always easy and sometimes it does hurt even when you're doing everything right. Lying about this very real truth isn't doing anyone any favors.

What should Heather Armstrong have done? Lied and said it was like a wonderful herd of baby Unicorns gently nuzzling you with their fairy wings? When you lie to women about breastfeeding and the fact that sometimes it sucks, is painful and takes a long time to get right all you do is make it more likely that they'll quit at the first twinge of discomfort. Brava for the mothers out there that don't lie about it and are willing to pretend that motherhood isn't always filled with puppies and roses. If it weren't for my own mommy friend who were honest with me from the get go I would have felt like a terrible failure.

Love your show Bonnie, but where did you get that mommy blogger expert? She was very annoying with her teeth sucking and scary remarks. Maybe you should check into who is doing your research for guests. The Kardashians seemed more intelligent than that woman. And that's saying something!

I watched your show for the first time to catch Dooce and the Kardashians and I really enjoyed your format. (I don't catch alot of daytime TV) People on the comments here are so SERIOUS. Do they really think new mothers aren't reading and asking questions all over the place? That they were just waiting to hear some random mommy blogger tell them about it? Really?

Who does your research Bonnie? Have you read that blogger's blog? It's kind of obvious there's some mental issues going on there and I am not talking about postpartum depression.
Very odd you'd subject a new mother, or any mother to her advice.

I've been enjoying your show until this episode. The Kardashians are pretty nerve racking, but I guess they are entertaining enough for some folks. And although it's my understanding that this Heather Armstrong has some kind of following because she was fired once for writing nasty things about her boss years ago and writes a blog about her PPD, meds, and takes pictures of her dog and kids on a blog, she really should stay at home and do just that. I've never read her blog and don't plan on it. If that's what a mommy expert is like, no thanks. She had the warmth of a snake. Please Bonnie, no more of these so called "famous bloggers." I don't think they transition well into the real world. Pretty sad that you prefer the charm and wit of a Kardashian over a "famous mommy blogger" with over a million Twitter followers.
