Tom Arnold - Tuesday, November 4th

Previous host of the 'Best Damn Sports Show Period' and ex-husband to Roseanne Barr, comedian Tom Arnold must now take on 'The Best Damn Talk Show' (as we like to call it around here.) He'll be discussing his newest film, 'Gardens of the Night' and Bonnie will see if he'll stick around to give a man's view on Holly's dating life. Jeanne Bice, also known as The Quacker Lady, sits with Bonnie to discuss how she went from mom to millionaire and who knows maybe you'll see Bonnie in one of Jeanne's signature bedazzled sweaters. She's sure to have everyone 'quacking up.' Plus, they're back from their first date, Holly has video to share of her dinner with Perfectmatch.com's Franke!

Hi Bonnie,
I've been watching your show recently but it was poor taste on Holly's part sitting there talking about her date and the leg situation and yet hanging on to Tom Arnold's arm like a dog in heat. Enough is enough!.
I agree with some of the other viewers, that Tom had to be on something.
As far as Jean Bice, She is a wonderful person and has helped lots of gals gain self confidence with her clothes available in all sizes. I wish the time wasted on Tom and Holly could have been used for Jean. You memtioned her models but we didn't see any. Which book of hers did you show and give out to the audience?
Thanks,
Linda from Ohio

Bonnie,

as if (yeh, I'm a HUGE spinster with a ton of personal connections to validate the intrigue of your suspicion against me) HOWEVER, as IF---

AS IF you know when a fellow is going to touch your leg. If he was a letcherous type, he would have made it known too much sooner with drooling and slobbering all over her pert inhibit-shuns.

You make me laugh, truly, and I told all the gals at my church who looked just like you that your show was a not missed kneadz willed ... (well, if they weren't such General Hospital and Cosby Show competition'd jerks.)

Sincerely
SLC Konger

Bonnie, First, i love your show and miss your hoodies!
What was the deal with Tom Arnold? Normally I like him, but he had to be loaded, or toasted, SOMETHING! he was slurring and maybe even drooling. If he wasn't drunk, was he ok?

Holly is incredibly brave to allow this type of national scrutiny. Did anyone other than Bonnie know it has only been 4 months since the painful divorce..NOOOOOooo!

This is TV folks, and Bonnie is not a psychologist.

What woman after a divorce wouldn't enjoy a genuine show of innocent, in public affection...probably validated her attractiveness as a newly single woman and being desired.

What is all this nonsense about diseases people are writing about... the woman had on jeans, he sat next to her, had his is hand relaxed on her leg (NOT messaging it etc etc)... my gawd.. if anything it appears to me that Bonnie needs to be the one getting out there dating.

Anyone that listens to Tom Arnold who is about as neurotic as they come, buying luggage for his dates, has some serious judgment issues... anything by Bonnie to sway the opinion to her side in her evaluation of the situation.

Bonnie is simply reprising the uptight, cynical and painfully frigid role she played in Jerry Maguire...which come to think of it, doesn't seem to be a role at all, but really who she is...

I don't imagine Franke would have done that with Bonnie quite simply because her vibe such... we weren't there, listen to what Bonnie said and leave it alone.

Wake up folks, it's about love people, connecting, soulful affection and being present in the moment. What a real shame there were so many cooks in the kitchen, a real shame indeed.

Bonnie, Tim Arnold was not a good guest . It was very hard to understand what he was talking about. A very confusing discussion.'
For heavens sake , Bonnie, leave Holly alone. and with all your comments you really are going to scare "Franke" Randy off. And I think Holly really liked him. I am 63 years old and was single again back in the mid ninties and so what if he put her hand on her leg. I would rather have a man show affection then a someone who can not feel any emotion and always talks about himself. It's not like he was trying to cop a feel.
I think he and Holly are good together. Enough about those two . The topic is getting old.

Hello Bonnie...Love your show and the way you love your mom..

You asked the question; should Holly have allowed him to touch her leg.. the answer is a resounding NO.. It was a test and I am afraid she failed. I have a feeling that her date wanted to see if he could get to know her physically before he gets to know her heart. A gentleman would not have pushed this fast. If Holly wants respect from a relationship, she has to respect herself first and maybe raise her moral standard in order to find the one man who is more interested in understanding her heart and listening with his. This takes more than four hours.

Bonnie...tell her NOT to shave her legs..it is the only link to sanity.

I think Bonnis is too judgemental when it comes to her friend Holly. As a friend you are supposed to always to encourage her and put her in a positive light. Why she lets you talk to her like that on tv is beyond knowing.

Bonnie,

I have watched all your movies and have followed you throughout your career..

Last night I watched the movie you were in Stolen Summer.. I must say excellent movie. It was a low budget film but the story behind it was nice and real.

It must have brought back memories of your childhood and growing up in a big family
with your mom raising 7 kids in this movie you had 8.

It was very well written and of course it was a very funny movie and I cried when Danny passed away.. Like all the movies you are in it told a story..

Other then that you as always were great playing your role.. But then again you always are...

Keep up the good work you deserve it !!!!!!

Best Wishes,

Karen

Bonnie,

I have to agree with Bonnie as I have the same views and morals that Bonnie has they are very strong and I am only 35. You can't change who you are and your way of thinking when it has to do with this topic.

It may be 2008 but you could still have resepect and what ever happened to taking it slow..
I don't know how women can go out on the 1st date and then go home with them..

Not that Holly would do that but some woman would yes it is 2008 but with 2008 comes diseases..

I like a person to get to know me first and the rest can come in all due time natuarally.. It all has to do with Respect if you don't have that then forget it.

Bonnie did say in the beginning and she was very up front about it.That her and Holly are very different when it comes to dating and there views with this sort of thing. With what should and shouldn't happen

Bonnie is just looking out for Holly..

Like any friend would do.

Bonnie is entitled to her opinion..

Holly is a big girl and she respects Bonnie's opinion and vice versa.

So everybody don't be so judgemental towards Bonnie.. She is a good friend to everyone.

Best Wishes,

Karen

Hi Bonnie! I'm recently retired (abt 3 weeks and at the young age of 55). I saw an ad abt your show and decided to watch. The 1st show I saw, you told a story abt your "gardners" calling you "aka". I thought it was so funny and I've been hooked on your show since then. In fact, I try and do all my chores b4 your show comes on. I'm so busy now, I don't know how I had time 4 a fulltime job. At any rate, I loved your show w/Tom Arnold and I truly agree w/you abt Franke putting his hand on her knee. Especially since it was a 1st date. What's up w/that. Even though Holly said she liked him, she should go out w/the other guys and see what their like. Who knows, maybe one of them w/b her match. Maybe even Tom Arnold! I was disappointed 2 read what some of your viewers said abt T. Arnold. He was a "guest" on your show (it's not like you were dating him) or ARE YOU? - Just kddng. They really need 2 stop being so negative abt things and start living life. After all, it's not just a show, it's the BONNIE HUNT show.

Nana Barbara - San Leandro, CA.

I have been a fan for many years and really enjoy your show. I too feel the need to comment about the whole Holly/Franke thing. As a single woman around your age, I really think you need to relax about that whole date. I think Holly expressed herself very well and seems to be a very intelligent woman. What on earth is the big deal about him sitting beside her having dessert!! I wish!! This is not 1950 and they're not 12. I'd feel quite comfortable with it if I was attracted to somebody and felt we were connecting as Holly seemed to think. And please, his hand on her leg is not such a big deal. And why is everybody so hard on Franke? He didn't ask to be thrown into the spotlight like this. As far as him being wishywashy, I think he probably just is not very comfortable being in front of cameras and having to comment on a first date with somebody. I hope Holly goes with her gut and takes all this advice with a grain of salt. Go Holly!!!

I think the show is GREAT!! I've been a big fan and what a surprise to find you had a show...gotta love DVR...

Poor Holly being on TV with her dating is she nuts? Bonnie is just being a good and protective friend. Hand on the leg?? A bit much but apparently he wanted Holly to know he was very interested.

But my opinion he just wanted to be on TV.

That's the hard part Holly will face. People using her. But she appears smart.

Love the set, the guests, I hope you're a great success.

I loved the garbage man stuff...real life is much funnier than anything you can make up. He seemed like a great guy.

You are amazin...i jes caught "The Green Mile" and as usual yu werent on screen long enough.. theres something about yer expressions that sets the viewer at ease...yer the best.
Tom Arnold?...what the heck happen ? yu handled it with grace. but we cud tell yu were ready to pull out the Hook, and pull him stage left...
Alice is great..keep it up.J

What was up with Tom Arnold? Was he high on something? Jumpy and almost slurring his words, it was not fun to watch. He also seemed to leave out words from some of his sentences.

Whoa, Tom Arnold! He surely was not your best guest (and you've had some AWESOME guests)!

My husband and I stop what we are doing to make sure we are in front of MY TV at 10 a.m. when your show airs here. He's as big a fan as I am--and he has been since your sitcom. Keep up the great work. I just retired afer 30 years with the same boss (lucky me!!! REALLY) and am enjoying sitting in my jammies with my coffee in front of great TV from 7 a.m to 11!

Thanks, Bonnie. After watching your show, I always want to call you and see if you have time to have a happy hour drink with me. :)

Cin

I love the show, I have it set to record on my DVR every day.

I thought Tom Arnold today was sweet and endearing. His obvious hyper behavior can be off putting for some people, but I see him as someone who is just being himself. I like that. He brings out the "I can take care of him" in me. I also thought that He brought humor to the dating discussion. Bonnie, I know you love Holly, but you shouldn't have beenn so hard on her today. Everyone has their own comfort areas, and she obviously found some connection with Franke/Randy. I thought it was sweet.
