SHOW RECAP
Bonnie is pleased to welcome Bill Pullman to the show. He's been in so many great films from 'Ruthless People,' 'Accidental Tourist' and most recently his newest, 'Nobel Son' which played to sold-out screenings at the Tribeca Film Festival. The film is so good it got picked up and will be opening in theaters this month and Bill's going to tell us more about it. Remember all those wacky characters Nicole Sullivan played on 'MADtv' like the Vancome Lady? She's so funny and will have us all in stitches when she's here talking about her new Lifetime show, 'Rita Rocks.' You all know it's Bonnie's favorite reality and she's got the most recently eliminated couple from 'The Amazing Race' here. And he recently won the National Mango Board's recipe contest, Dean Sturt, a ten-year-old chef will be showing his recipe for Mangolicious Flip Flop cake.

Ingredients
4 mangos, peeled, pitted and sliced; divided

1/2 stick butter, melted

2/3 cup firmly packed light brown sugar

1 1/2 cup all purpose flour

1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1 stick butter, softened

2/3 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 °F.

Butter a 9" x 2" round cake pan. Pat the slices of mango dry with paper towels. In a small bowl, stir together the butter and the brown sugar. Spread evenly in the 9" x 2" pan. Arrange the mango pieces from two mangos to your liking on the sugar mixture, reserving the rest for mango puree. Set aside.

Into a bowl sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon. In another bowl with an electric mixer, cream the butter and the sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in the vanilla.

In a food processor, puree remaining mangos to make ¾ cup. Add the flour mixture alternately in batches with the pureed mangos, beginning and ending with the flour mixture and beating well after each addition. Pour the batter into the pan, spreading it evenly, and bake the cake in the middle of the oven for 45-55 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let the cake cool in the pan on a rack for 15 minutes, run a thin knife around the edge and invert onto a platter.

Prep Time: 20 minutes

Cook Time: 45 to 55 minutes

Great Show, that little chef was adorable.

How about the picture that we submitted captions for? I really work hard on those and thought I might have a chance to win on this one.

See you tomorrow!

Bonnie, where's your beautiful coffee mug?? I still would love to purchase some for my family and friends.

You are delightful!

I was going to donate $100.000 to Bonnies basement.
Then i was told they dont need it.

Bonnie, You Rock! I love the cub outfits! Go Cubbies!

Hi Bonnie, Your show today was great! Actually I was in your audience in the front row and had a good time. I brought 3 of my girlfriends with me and they too enjoyed your show. Your camera men were nice and friendly. Even the one who got mad during the show and shouted. Thanks for the bbc dvd's. I want to see you again. Can I get more tickets?

Ps. Thx for the hot dod and root beer, it was much needed and appreciated.

Cynthia

Hi Bonnie

Loved the show today. The segment with the boy Dean was adorable. Your show is like old hometown week-- since I am from the Chicagoland area, I get all the references-- ie Cuddly Duddlely, Romper Room. Thanks for having Bill Pullman on, he is one of my favorite actors. Toni and Dallas were also great-- I love the Amazing Race.

Keep up the great work, your show brightens my day.

Cathy

Bonnie,

I am so happy you are back.
I love hearing about your childhood you have so many wonderful stories to share with us whether they are from your childhood or adulthood. Keep the stories coming.
You are so funny..
I can just picture you sitting at the Thanksgiving table and about to say something and your brother says to you DON'T START..
Don't ever change.
Family is great no matter how old you are you can always go home and just be YOU.
I can't believe that woman asked you to take off your shoes granted it was years ago but still..
Come over any time the coffee is always on and always fresh.. Keep your shoes on and I will make sure there is somewhere for you to sit..
The guy you were seeing at the time should have gotten you a seat to sit in instead of you getting it yourself and dragging it on the white fluffy carpet. Where was his manners..
Well anyway I just love your show and everything you have ever been in or have accomplished in your life and I just love you Bonnie you are the best.
I was going to come to one of your shows this month but, it seems you are taken the same 2 weeks off as I am so that isn't going to work. Well maybe next time..
Keep up the good work I will always be watching as you are a ray of sunshine.
Ps: I saw when you were talking about your Dad you were teary eyed.. I can so relate my father passed away when 5 days before my 22nd Birthday.
My dad passed away on December 22 and my Birthday was December 27th. He will be gone 14 years this month. He is always in my heart.
I am writing this to you and now I am teary eyed.
My mother was 50 years old when my dad passed away she never dated or remarried again she said she had the best he was the love of her life.
Your mom and my mom married the love of there lives.
"My father told my mother that he found her in life he will find her in death"
Your dad and my dad are up in Heaven looking down at there beautiful daughters proud as ever at how we turned out.. They are always with us..
Like I have told you before pictures are all over my home of my family who haved passed on and of course the family that are still living.. I love pictures they are memories that can never be replaced..
Thank god for family..
So on that note look forward to another great week with you and I am hoping one day to meet you and talk with you one on one..
It is so easy to write to you I can go on and on but I will save it for when we meet one of these days..
Lets do lunch !!

Best wishes always ..

Karen

Hey Bonnie,
You ROCK ! I've been a fan of yours forever! You are incredibly smart, funny and beautiful! You remind me of myself, except I'm Hispanic and from Los Angeles originally.
I think it's really refreshing to be able to watch a talk show with my family and just laugh!
I DVR your show everyday to make sure I don't miss you! Then we end up watching it over again.
Thanks for doing such a great show!
Love and God Bless,
Roberta A.
a Fan - PS, When I told my son Jason you voiced Sally for Disney's CARS, he just about fainted - he's 9 1/2 and in LOVE with you now!

Hi Bonnie,

Love your show and your movies.

Please have Dean back. He would be a fablous monthly addition to your show. You two are great together, it's a delight to watch.

Keep up the great work and give your Mom a big hug from me.

Lori

Dear Bonnie, I agree with another person about having recipes set up to where, it and only it can be printed out. Thank you, B. Huffman
P/S What happen to your "flower" cup?

Hi Bonnie,
I have been watching your show everyday since I've been temporarily home bound due to surgery last September. I love your show, and especially more so today with your guest Dean Sturt. He is such a natural, sweet & funny kid. I went to my PC immediately to get his recipe of the Mangolicious Flip Flop Cake. I love mangoes coming from a country where we have a variety of mangoes.
Thank you for sharing that recipe from Dean. More power to you and your show. I want to wish you Happy Holidays!
God Bless,
Leti

Why don't you put the recipes on a page that we can print out without the whole page?
thank you.

I have to tell you i've been home a couple of days being sick and happend to turn your show on and saw nothing but good things. you are a real people person and that is something you dont see alot on tv no adays. ive been a fan of yours for years. i have to say its been a real pleasure these few days i've had off watching you and your guest keep up the great work. I also put a comment on being on your show . ive been looking for a friend that moved away in 1977 to alabama with her family. ive tries severly different ways to finf her but no luck maybe you have better connections then i do. it would mean the world to me, thank you again. jeff hall

Great show today. Was noticing that Bonnie seemed a bit distracted. Not as "up" as usual. Hope everything is ok. Know she has a family member who is ill. She is SO kind and really seems like a great person. Want to see you shine Bonnie. Thanks for another wonderful hour!!
