SHOW RECAP
Tom Cavanagh ('Trust Me'/Nothing But Nets Charity): He's known to most of us as 'Ed' from the NBC sitcom. Now this wonderful actor has a new show, 'Trust Me' -- with former 'Will & Grace' star Eric McCormack. He's also tell us about working with a charity that's helping to prevent malaria in Africa.
Tyson Beckford ('Make Me a Supermodel'): What does it take to be a supermodel? Tyson knows from experience, and he's bringing that know-how as the host of this Bravo show! Tune in to get the dirt on all the good, the bad and the pretty.
Solomon Leo: We all fell in love with this little guy when he was here telling us all about the toy K'Nex, so we decided to send him to the New York Toy Fair to scope out the newest and hottest toys. He'll show Bonnie all the great stuff coming out this year. |

I saw your show where you were talking about Wisconsin's slogans that were rejected. I like "come smell our dairy air." LOL
Bonnie,
When you shared the story of your Mom telling you about the feminine napkins being Barbie mattress brought back a memory when my daughters were very small I had told them the liners were large band aides for Daddy's boo boos. One afternoon we had my husband parents and Aunt & Uncle from out of town over for dinner the girls had eaten earlier and was playing in there room so I thought... we were all sitting at the dinner table and all of a sudden everyone put their heads down and my husbands dear Aunt whisper ooh my!!! Then my little daughter about 2 at the time kept saying boo boo I looked around and there she was with a whole box of liners sticking to her head, knees legs and arms.. I looked at my family around the table who still had there heads not saying a word. I was mortified at the time. But now looking back what a funny and great memory. Thank you for being so different from all the other talk shows and keeping true to yourself with your family and friends
I really enjoy your show. You are so down to earth and I hope that is the true you. I have a question which I hope doesn't offend you. On Mondays show when you got up to welcome Martin Sheen you looked like maybe you are pregnant- are you? I guess that is a personal question.
The elephant masks on the table are from a game called Ring Around the Nosy. Kids wear the masks and try to pick up rings from the table with the trunk. It can be fun.
Your story of your Barbie Dream House reminded me of a Christmas as a child. I also come from a large Catholic family, and one Christmas my grandmother gave each child FIVE dollars to buy for another child. We picked from a hat and I picked my oldest brother Kevin.
I couldn't wait to go shopping, and when I saw all the new Barbie items out, I knew that I just had to have them, so I came up with this brilliant plan. On Christmas morning my brother opened up a new Barbie with some really snazzy outfits. He looked at me like I was insane, and I just sweetly said to him...if you don't want it I'll take it. He said "OOOOHHHH NOOOOO, I LOVE it" For the next weeks I was able to watch my beautiful barbie in horrible situations. He is turning 50 this year, I am thinking of getting him another Barbie.
Bonnie,
Your show is NOT boring!!! Contrary to what that person posted a few comments ago. Your show is great. You shine the best with the fast comical wit you exercise everyday. I love your set. I am enjoying getting to learn about some of your staff. I finally realize where I have seen Don before. I enjoyed him in "Best in Show".
Above all, I really enjoy your interview segments. You are one of the few show hosts that actually listen to your guest. I really enjoy when you interview children. I suggest you bring back a version of "Kids Say the Darndest Things". You are great with the kids. You are a very talented person. But most of all compassionate to human and animals. I am an a proud owner of two Pomeranians who bring me joy everday. So from one unmarried, childless, Catholic raised Irish chick to another, YOU ROCK!!!!!
heyyy Bonnie!! i was at the taping for this episode yesterday, it was soo funnnnn wow, my second attendance to ur show and i still had a blast, even more then the first, i even met Tyson after the show, he was soo sweet just like you Bonnie, u once again came to the audience, talked, and hugged everyone! love ya.
Bonnie first I like to say I love your show! I TVO it everyday. What I love about it the most is that no matter what type of day I have had I get a good laugh and when it is over I have a smile. Thanks! I really enjoyed Solomon Leo he is a cutie and has such a personality.
BONNIE,
I REALIZE YOUR IN MOURNING ABOUT THE SHOW, BUT HOW MUCH LONGER ARE YOU GOING TO WEAR THE SAME DAMN SUIT?
IF THERE ISN'T A BUDGET BUY SOME SUITS!
WE TRIED TO HELP YOU BY ASKING YOU TO LOOSE THE GRANNY GLASSES AND THE SAD HOODIES...YOU WAITED TOO LONG.
THE SHOW IS BORING SAD TO SAY. YOU LOOSE ME AFTER YOUR MONOLOGUE. LENGTHEN IT.
YOU NEED SEGMENTS OUTSIDE STUDIO.
YOUR SOUND IS BAD AND GOES REALLY QUIET WHEN YOU COME ON AIRE...
WISH YOU HAD ANOTHER YEAR ON WHICH TO IMPROVE.
THE BAND IS WEARING THE SAME OLD SWEAT SHIRTS DAILY.
ENJOYED CARSON AND YOU LET HIM SAY HE WAS GAY. GROWTH!
Bonnie, Last week you ask people to write in funny childhood stories. My older brother and sister watched scary monster movies and since I didn't want to be left out I watched with them, even though I was scared. One night they turned off the lights, I was hiding under a table for safety and at the exact moment the monster shot lightening blots out of it's eyes, my leg fell asleep and I jumped up screaming "IT GOT ME! IT GOT ME!" I was hysterical and my brother and sister couldn't stop laughing.
P.S. You are a breath of fresh air and your Mom is wonderfully unique and adorable.

Hi Bonnie,
I enjoy your show so much! I especially enjoy you and your mother. She's such a lovely funny person.
The animal segments are so good, too.
I make it a point to be home when you are on.
Keep up the good work!
Vicki
Hi Bonnie,
I've heard you say before that all your family pets have found there way to you.....I think the Dog found in the desert that you mentioned on todays show has found it's way to you and that is the dog you should bring home to Charlie:)
Also Quick Question: How can your Canadian viewers contact you in regards to a "sad story". I have an unbelievable one that I would like to get out to as much of the pulic as possible :)
When I try to fill out the form it only asks "What state" a person lives in and not a "Province" so it will not allow me to contact you. If you could let me know how to get my story to you.
Thankyou
Your Canadian Friend Trina :)
Bonnie,
Today was the best show ever for me. I am 62 years old and when Tyson talked of his grandmother I cried. That's the kind of grandson I wish I had. Also, when you're playing ring toss with him, could I come and count how many ringers you got????????? Love your show!
I think Bonnie gets along extremely well with her guests but when they are slightly lesser known actors like Tom Kavanaugh, I didn't hear his complete name clearly when she "signed off" his segment. She ran through his name, channel and the name of the show too quickly: I had to look up the data on this website to glean: TNT, "Trust Me," a channel and a show I am not too familiar with. I know she's under a time constraint but I wish she could pronounce the three items either more slowly or more clearly when a guest is leaving the show.
Otherwise, Bonnie is great, very sympathetic and a refreshing addition to talk-show viewing.

Bonnie you're the best thing to happen to television since color TVs were invented!
The last two days I've laughed so hard about the "Barbie Dream House" and seeing the "old man dance" that my sides actually ached! Thank goodness for Tivo because it's as funny the 100th time as it is the first!
I hope your show is around even longer than Johnny Carsons Tonight Show because the world needs your humor, touching stories, love of people, tenderness to animals and your hilarious situations you share with us.
Your adorable mom and her heartfelt words of wisdom remind me of my own mother whom I dearly miss.
Thank you so much for bringing laughter back into our homes each day. We love you and send wishes for a Blessing filled day your way!
I just love your hair it is so very pretty wish I had it and I love your show never knew you here on til my sister told me she sees you earlier so thats how i found out you are a mornign show for her and an afternoon shop for me I tivo you
HI BONNIE I LOVE YOUR SHOW, I'VE BEEN FOLLOWING YOUR CAREER FOR YEARS. THE ONLY THING THAT BUGS ME IS WHEN YOU INTRODUCE A NEW GUEST AND PRINTED ON THE SCREEN IS TOMORROW AND SOMEONE ELSES NAME.
WHY ARE YOU ADVERTISING TOMORROWS SHOW WHEN YOU SHOULD BE CONCENTRATING ON THE PERSON THAT YOU ARE INTERVIEWING. ON OTHER SHOWS THEY PRINT THE NAME OF THE PERSON THAT IS ON THE SHOW.
I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT NO ONE HAS NOTICED THIS!
i would like to see more of what your mom says on the online letter. thanks ,deeann
I love watching the Bonnie Hunt show! I was so excited when I saw all the toys on the coffee table. Mostly because I saw the elephant masks. I had that game when I was little. I have been trying to remember what it was called so I can try to find one for my own kids! I was so sad when you didn't talk about them! What is that game called, does anyone know?
Hi Bonnie,
I wanted to offer one hint of advise for the tomato planter that the plants hang upside down. We saw a show 10 years ago showing something similar except you plant the tomato plants in a hanging basket (we lived in an apartment at that time) then they suggested you plant Marigold plants on top of the tomato plants (I believe to keep bugs away). Well we had watched and waited for our tomatos to grow and they did. We were so EXCITED to pick our first tomato's. We sliced them open put a little salt on them and took that long awaited bite for home grown tomato's then at the same time spit out what was in our mouths. We had no idea, or at least didn't think it through but our long awaited tomato's tasted like how Marigolds smell. We were crushed but what a memory and laugh we still have.
Blessings & much deserved continued success!!
