Who won the Top Mom Contest? Why was she chosen? Why are they hiding it on the website???
I live in Dayton,OH and the show comes on at 3pm I work 7p-7a and wake up just in time for the show but yesterday I woke up late and missed the story of the mom that won the trip I did get she hads adopted her siblings -- how wonderful-- I sounded like such a touching I need to know the entire story PLEASE can someone fill me in....
Thanks. I hope she takes a camera and sends the show some photo's. I am ready for some tropical weather. Thanks Bonnie I love your show, I am a nurse too and I use a lot of comedy as a part of healing and even just to keep my co-workers spirits up. Mary
I did not appreciate your anecdote about purchasing knock off designer bags. Wake up people! The "knock-off" industry is sick and corrupted and preys upon women and young girls. This show should not promote such purchases. It is NOT a victimless crime. Who cares what bag you are carrying anyway. If it's a fake, what's the point? To keep up with the Joneses? That just promotes the wrong values.
Bonny I love your show, And I realy loved your guest today, Cybill is one of my all time Great actors. Please keep up the good work, But why do you ware Black so much? You are a nice looking women ,And I belive you need some color, To show off your nice feators. By Rodeoman
I just want to tell Bonnie thank you for running the 'Mom of the year' contest. I didn't get watch the show, but am hoping to see a tape of it, since my friend was the winner, and she didn't tell any of us she was even nominated! I happen to know a lot of moms who are deserving of the 'mom of the year' title (mine included), but Julie is not only deserving, having given her life to raise her children (natural and adopted siblings), but she would give anything she has for others, and is humble as the day is long. We all had chills today when we found out she was honored in this way. The 'award' is something that she and her husband not only deserve, but would never in a million years do for themselves, or could afford right now. They have worked so hard, and I am so proud to consider her a friend and colleague. I can't wait to see a tape of it! I hope those whose nominees didn't 'win' realize that this does not diminish from the specialness of their moms. Validation from a national television show does not determine who is and is not 'Mom of the Year' in the eyes of their loved ones. To pick only one person must have been a very hard decision. Bonnie, I have seen so many great things come from your show... I need to be a regular viewer!!!
I believe the trainers name is Mike Hagerty. He was on a show called “Lucky Louie”, and the movie “Overboard” with Kurt Russell.
The work-out regimen build-up throughout the show and then the introduction of the "Personal Trainer to the Stars" was a RIOT!! One of the greatest bits I've seen recently - you really had me going. He was halfway across the stage until I realized it had to be a gag, and the bit was done to perfection. I had tears running down my face at the end, laughing. Excellent work, well done with a finely tuned balance of reality vs. satire. Glad that the audience caught on a little earlier than with the Martin Mull skit from a few weeks back and enjoyed the humor. TBHS is one of the funniest shows on TV, consistently providing great laughs and entertaining guests, and a must in my DVR. Letterman's got nothin' on you Bonnie! Outstanding talent, writers, and music. Guest suggestion = Hugh Laurie. Keep up the great work and looking forward to many, many more TBHS's.
I attended a taping of the show on Tuesday, March 31st with my mother. Because of her difficulty walking, she must make her way quite slowly. During our visit, each member of this efficient, well organized staff treated her with concern, thoughtfulness and consideration; every single one. Before the audience left, Bonnie Hunt went out of her way to make all feel welcomed and appreciated for taking their time to come see the show in person. She made it obvious to anyone observing that “Thank you for coming” was more than just something to say. It is no surprise, therefore, that her staff should reflect that same level of graciousness. Thank you to all concerned for the kindness with which we were treated and for making what happened to be my mother's birthday a very pleasant day.

I especially loved Bonnie's counting like the Count! I had to rewind and watch it three times!
BONNIE, THANK YOU FOR HAVING THE VISION AND PASSION TO FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS! WE, AS YOUR VIEWING AUDIENCE, BENEFIT FROM THIS. YOU MAKE PEOPLE LAUGH, SMILE, AND BRING A TRUE JOY TO OUR HEARTS. I LOVE WATCHING YOUR GENUINE KINDNESS WHEN YOU SPEAK WITH PEOPLE AND WANT EVERYONE TO FEEL VALUED AND LOVED. KUDOS TO YOUR MOM FOR TEACHING AND BELIEVING IN HER FAMILY AND THEREFORE "PAY IT FORWARD" IS GIVEN EACH DAY THROUGH HER WONDERFUL DAUGHTER! THANKS AGAIN FOR A WONDERFUL SHOW AND SHARING YOURSELF WITH US 5 DAYS A WEEK.
Absolutely LOVE the Teen Creed! Is there a known author? There is a science teacher in Austin, TX (Mrs KA Green) who wants to use this. She teaches my niece (shout out to Samantha Sutton)!
This sounds just like my parents. Kids may not act as if they're not listening, but a tiny fragment always stays in their precious little brains. It will help when you least expect it and you may or may not know it until years later.
My parents taught me 2 things: don't leave your drink unattended and if you need to, call us...we'll come get you...no questions asked. Of course, they taught us much more than this.
When I was around 15 yrs old, I was invited to a "boy/girl" slumber party. I thought it would be cool, but I knew my parents wouldn't allow that. At the time, I didn't understand why...can you imagine? I did go to the party after my parents talked with the teen's mom to make sure there would be adult supervision. After I got to the party, I found out that the parents left the house, I was freaking out the whole time and did NOT enjoy myself. This was because drugs were being used and everyone was supposed to be paired up. I didn't know what boys and girls did together! I watched my drink and my best friend's drink A-A-AND told off her boyfriend...for what, I don't know...just trying to protect her. When my parents were about to pick me up, I was waiting outside and jumped in the car. I was safe!
Years later, I told my parents what happened. They said they WONDERED why I was so quick to get in the car, but stuck to their word and asked no questions. My aunt then told me that the pollice were to raid the house THAT NIGHT.
Thank Mom, Dad and Aunt Hilda
please furnish me the name of the author who wrote the book "Building Your Core" as shown on the Wednesday show.
Loved the April Fool's joke you fooled on me and ALL of America who watch your show :) Your "trainer" was funny!!
I'm 61 years old and being retired, I have the time to watch and I really enjoy your show.
You said today (April 1st) that you were going to "get into shape."
Well, when I said that to my daughter 3 years ago, she replied to me (and I quote) "Dad... ROUND is a shape!" Glad to say that I've lost over 100 pounds since that time and I feel better than I have since I was in my early 20's. I wish you luck in your endeavor.
I'm watching yesterday's show on the DVR -- did you just say "did'ent"? If so, you've been in LA too long!!
BONNIE, LOVE YOUR SHOW..ALSO LOVED THE BREAKSK8 SKATERS..VERY TALENTED GUYS..THEY NEED MORE CREDIT THEN WHAT THEY GET SEEING THEY DO ALL THERE DANCING ON SKATES..BRINGS BACK OLD MEMORIES..I'M SURE THEIR PERFORMANCE WAS ONLY A SMALL PORTION OF WHAT THEY CAN DO..THANKS FOR HAVING THEM ON AND LETTING PEOPLE OUT THERE KNOW THAT SKATING HAS NOT DISAPPEARED..GOOD STRESS RELIEF..
Yay! today Bonnie's wardrobe contained color. Very pretty Bonnie. If I were your stylist it would be more color, more often and v-neck, empire baby-doll tops - very flattering on you. I'm a big fan of the blazer as well but perhaps less of the black blazers?
As a dedicated viewer in your age range, I am interested in women in broadcast and ideas on fashion cues. Help us gals out Bonnie with more great looks for smart, attractive women of a certain age.
Your show is great - I never miss it!
To Kay: EVER HEAR OF SATIRE??
Have a lovely day, btw. Nothing WRONG with helping people to understand things that are NEW TO THEM!
:-)
Check the calender folks! Personal Trainer or April Fool's Day joke?
