SHOW RECAP
Rosie Perez ('The Take'): This Brooklyn native has come a long way since being a dancer on 'Soul Train,' she's in a new movie with John Leguizamo and just got nominated for an Independent Spirit Award. She'll tell Bonnie all about it and her continued support of children in the arts.
Kat Von D ('High Voltage Tattoo'/'L.A. Ink'): She's best known as the featured tattoo artist on 'L.A. Ink' and this rocker girl has developed quite a celebrity following. She's got a new book out showcasing her tattoo artwork and will share with Bonnie some of her more interesting pieces.
Kids' Show & Tell: Ask most kids what kind of pet they would like and the say a cute fluffy puppy or kitty, for Sabrina and Jordan Vasich they would prefer something a little more unconventional. Check out how Bonnie reacts to their pet rats and their hairless cat.

Ingredients:
3 large pieces of fresh Tilapia (slightly salted and peppered)
3 large yellow or white potatoes - peeled and cut
1 large chopped Spanish onion
2 chopped scallions
1 whole roasted clove of garlic
Chopped parsley (1 tbsp)
Salt and pepper (grind peppercorn) to taste
2 tbsp of heavy cream
1 stick of Crisco cooking shortening or lard (if you want the authentic ghetto
taste) or butter
Directions
Boil potatoes until soft when pierced with fork. Smashed them, adding almost a
whole stick of butter, half roasted garlic, parsley, heavy cream and salt and
pepper to taste. Set aside.
When the onions are a slightly brown and crispy, add the fish on top and cover to
steam a bit. When the first starts to turn a little white, turn over with a large
spatula, once. Add the smashed potatoes and then fold them into the onions and
fish. Turn up the heat until it begins to crisp. That's it! So good! A bit fattening but
so good!
By the way, my girlfriend, Ileana, said that you should cook the onions with olive
oil instead of the shortening or lard, so it won't be so fattening. It won't taste as
good, but it could work.
Hi Bonnie, First of all I would like to say how much I enjoy your show. I think you are such a refreshing host. And I also enjoy all of your crew that I have seen so far. Second, the person who posted rude remarks about how you treated Rosie Perez was very unfare and not educated at all in my view. You make people laugh and you do it very well. I am sure that all of your guest must know that at any time they be end up being the joke as to what they might say. People like that person are not worth the worry in my eyes. Keep up the good work PEASE! I stopped watching day time talk shows till one day I caught your show and I could not turn away from it. I watch it in the kitchen everyday, it happens to come on while I am cooking. Now I enjoy cooking more. Also Thank you for posting the recipe of the Fish Dinner, I printed it out and will try it tomorrow.

Dear Bonnie,
Please post the interview with Kat Von D. I taped the interview especially for my daughter, who is a big Kat Von D fan. I also taped today's show and after I was done watching it, I erased the wrong one!
So, I'm hoping you will post the interview. :-)
Love your show and am happy that I was able to attend a filming last month!
Thank you!
Julie
i'm wondering about the dog that had lost one of his eyes in a fight that was up for adoption it said adoption pending. did his adoption go through?
Dear Bonnie
I love love your show I even have a relative on your staff whom Im so proud of. But I
cant help wondering why your wearing that dark
suit so much? You look so pretty with the sweaters
you wore. You must have a good reason,so forgive
me for asking. The little girls with the rats oh
boy, I also had a small rat problem in my home so,
watching her holding them like kittens really
freaked me out. But good for them. Also Ive asked
before about you showing how you dye your hair. Ive watched every show did I miss it? Your a sweet
heart and I love how you talk about your family,
your Moms a doll to me talking about your family
is the best part of the show. Family is everything
Kisses to Charlie (my late Fathers name) you do
have a wonderful staff Don is a riot.
God love you Janice LaBarca
Dear Bonnie,
Love the show and appreciate the fact that you
share so many of your personal hilarious stories. Since the show started it really makes it hard for me to watch some of the other talk shows they all seem to fake and above all us normal people. When I see negative comments about you I think people sometime misinterpret some of your humor and or take things out of context. Wish you continued success.....By the way I do agree I thought the View was a little harsh with you,I felt like their claws were coming out....too many
hormones on that show....Keep us laughing fom one fellow nurse to another.
Dear Bonnie,
You have a great personality and a really cute body. Please stop hiding it with funeral black suits. Try matching your clothes with your personality and try some COLORS!!!!!!!
Love it when you do your magazine covers. You so make me smile. Just thought you might like to know that there is a nude beach in Wisconsin. It is on the Wisconsin River not too far from the capital, Madison WI.
You are the one daytime show that my husband will stop what he is doing to watch. We are from a small town in northwestern Illinois and love your midwestern sense of family and humor. Stay just the way you are.
Hi! I absolutely love your show! Bonnie, you are so beautiful and talented and make me laugh every single day! Even when you had laryngitis you still had such a wonderful demeanor about you. What I really admire the most about you is your compassion for people and animals. I think your Charlie is the cutest, sweetest dog and I love when you bring him to the show. My husband Vince and Iown a dog named Checkers. He is a Black Labrador and Dalmatian mix. My husband said a little Shetland pony thrown in. Thats his little side joke. I just wanted you to know how much you really are appreciated! You deserve so much warmth and happiness because you give so much to so many people. We absolutely loved your show today. I really wish Kat Von D would have kept playing the piano. She was so amazing and so down to earth. Rosie was awesome, but I was laughing so hard when you two were cooking. The little girls were so sweet too. Rats usually give me the creeps but I learned something new today so thank you for that. By the way I love Don too. He is so awesome! Please let him know he is very much appreciated too. He seems like such a sweet man! I watch you faithfully every morning and you are so great in all your movies and your Mom Alice is such a wonderful woman and sweetheart. She makes me laugh, but she is so much like my Mom. My husband and I just love you so much. Take care and I hope only the best for you and your Mom and Don.Thank you for bringing so much joy into my husband and my life! Jill
Your show is the only daytime show my wife and I tape. We love it. Monday when you ran the tape of your visit to the View. It looked as though Barbara Walters tried to give you a wedgie when you stood, after she said she didn't watch your show. Keep up the good work.
Dave
No matter what the subject is, you make this octogenarian laugh and smile.
Hey there Bonnie,
Good Morning! I hope you all have as beautiful day tomorrow as we had today. And the show as always was great. I wish Kat would of kept on playing. She is one of my idols.. as is Betty Boop, the only sgl. woman that made it a lone as a comic. And I think Kat runs hand in hand w/ her as far as being one of a kind that has succeeded w/ her artistic abilities as a sgl. woman... I can't believe you didn't ask her how her bo was doing. I was so anxious to hear so much more about her. I think we learned more about Rats today than what we heard from her. I had the blessing of meeting her many years ago at a Tattoo convention. She had only just begun then. Then she was on la ink. that's where she made a place for herself in the tough world of being an awesome tattoo artist. So as always I truly enjoyed the show today. Rosie and the fish was hilarious. We did miss ya last week, even though we did catch you on a few shows. You did great BTW on the View.
A loyal watcher,
Janine...
ps.. there is an America Idol w/ my name, I'll have to vote for her.
Hi Bonnie,
I just wanted to say that I think you are so genuine and funny, and Rosie was hilarious today. She had me laughing out loud, and after a difficult day, it was so nice.
Keep on keeping on!
I had a blast watching your show today. Rosie Perez. ( I have a small tv on my desk) You almost got me busted... I was laughing so hard!!! People around me wanted to know what was so funny...

Your show is so enjoyable to watch. You certainly know how to make someone smile. Keep bringing humor into the home.
Smashed potatoes is getting to be used more and more, especially on the Food Channel and in cookbooks...the above link shows just a few locations for recipes and celebrity chefs like Rachel Ray and Sara Mouton
I found Bonnie mean spirited laughing at Rosie Perez for the use of the words Smashed Potato as well as for her pronunciation of Michelin ---
Bonnie how perfect is your Spanish? Rosie is an English as a second language speaker...how rude to make fun of her...her body language showed that she wasn't enjoying your jokes at her expense....
Please be more sensitive...realize that it was you who was ignorant of the popular dish Smashed Potatoes...but Rosie wasn't rude enough to correct and make fun of you...
Hi Bonnie and all....as usual, I enjoy every minute of your show, you always leave me smiling and feeling lots better than I did when I got up. I so appreciate your guest yesterday that is suffering pain of Arthritis, I feel her pain and know how hard it is to get out and talk about it.
