I was so happy to give away my Australia vacation to that lovely couple. You just have to feel so happy and believe in a higher power, when the universe can just come together like that and make something happen that is so right.
Kudoozs to all of you who made this possible.
Bonnie,
I just want to tell you how much i enjoyed seeing Lee Woodruff on your show. My youngest brother Micah sustained a TBI just days before Bob! As his story unfolded in the media, our family realized that we were both going through the same things at about the same time and in a strange way it was very comforting to know that we were not alone! As we prayed for my brother we were able to include Bob and his family. They are both truely miracles. I think that they even came home on the same day! I know that during his recovery it was helpful to my brother to see that he was not alone in this struggle and with the right attitude he could get his life back! Please I would love for this to be passed along to Lee and Bob so that they would know how much they mean to our family!
Bonnie I love your show! It is such a breathe of fresh air!!!
Thank you!
I loved the annoucement of the getaway winner! I can't to see her & her family after the vacation!
Hello Bonnie(not really Bonnie ...but the people that read this)I will probably run out of space but I saw the show today and a dedication to nurses "God Bless Them" and God bless you for dedicating a day to them. . I am not a nurse but my sister is and what a special person it takes to be a nurse. They are so blessed with patience and kindness that only they have. I am a Chicago police officer and I have the utmost respect for both of my sisters one being a nurse and the other being a teacher. They are probably the two hardest jobs in the world. By far harder than my job.As dangerous as my job is everyday I worry soooo much about them,I worry about their safety more than mine. I am able to protect myself somewhat, as a teacher or nurse they are limited to what they can do to protect themselves.Thank you for recognizing them. Love you & your show,Christine Carroll Thanks for making me smile everyday @ 2pm Hope you come to Chicago for a show. I will sleep outside overnight to see you. Your smiling face makes the world a better place.Thank You!!!
loved the show allways do. but my best part was when u called the lucky winner for a trip to astralia n u where like i hope its not somenoe that wins things all the time and it wasnt it was the perfecet person to win i cant wait till they get back from there show and go n talk to u about it. ps dont use the E mail addres i jus made it up
I wanted to SO win that Australia trip - not for me, but my sister. I entered her information hoping I could win this trip as a thank you for all that she and her husband have done for my husband and me. A long story, but we have had a rough time for the last 15 years and she has never not been there for me in so many ways . . . .
But can I tell you? I cried my eyes out for the lady that DID win! I was SO dang happy I can't tell you:) Just the most perfect person won - I get tears in my eyes everytime I hear her talking to Bonnie after she won. I am just so SO happy - made my year actually:)
Bonnie: thanks for having Shaun White on and talking about his heart defect and surgeries.
My son Josh is nearly 7 and has had 4 heart surgeries. It was great for him to see a "cool big kid" who has been through some of the same stuff. Josh has a different defect, but these kids all go through some of the same emotions and experiences. Thanks for sharing that with kids like him.
And maybe you can consider doing something about heart defects in February for Heart Defect Awareness Week?!
Comments about the show today:
I loved the laughter and all that followed after (borrowed in part from a league of our own) which means we've been loving your show since it started. It was great to see what a great time two girls can still have just talking about "stuff".
Your show is just sooooooooo "life"
Thanks Bonn
Bonnie...
First of all I want to say I love you and your show very very much. Nothing makes my day brighter then taking the time to watch your show. I just love everything you have to offer.
I am also from the Chicago land area and when you first mentioned the accent I laughed "out loud".
When you called the young lady regarding the Australia trip, I cried with happiness for her. I could feel your emotion thru the t.v.
Thank You for sharing the closeness you have with your Mom with all of us.
You and your Mom are THE REAL DEAL.
Hey Bon Bon,
My mom and I watch your show everyday and the days that we don't make it we have you on our season pass on Tivo so I think it is safe to say we LOVE your show!! My mom makes the joke often how your hair is so beautiful that she is not even gonna watch the show anymore ha so I think it would be super funny if you had a wacky hair theme day to throw her off that would diff surprise her! hehe
Your fan, Ashley Vaughn :)
Dear Bonnie,
Thanks so much for your salute to nurses this week. My sister-in-law, Melanie, is a registered nurse and she is my hero. She takes excellent care of my brother, Merle, who is a quadriplegic due to a motorcycle accident almost 15 years ago. He was a police officer in the motorcycle division and had a terrible accident while working. Melanie was working full time as a critical care nurse in the Cardiac Recovery unit at a local hospital. She is now his full time caretaker and he is the healthiest quad that his doctor has ever seen. She is an inspiration to our family and her own. Her mother is now an LVN and her daughter, my niece Cortney, is an LVN as well. What an awesome legacy to give them! Thanks again for being such an avid supporter of nurses everywhere.
PS - My mom and I love your show. I work during the day but we tape it and she waits to watch it with me at night. It is such a refreshing change from the same old talk show. Your compassion for your former patients is obvious by the way you treat your guests and audience. You are the "Real Deal" and it's great to have a clean, fun show that even your mother can watch. LOL
Hi Bonnie,
When you were talking with the person that won the trip to Australia, it brought tears to my eyes. It was great to hear you make someone's day. She is right that you are down to earth and make every day fun to watch your show. Keep up the great work. Love, Pam
Bonnie you sure did pick a winner for the contest today...They seemed very desreving and tears came to my eye..SEE things happen for a reason..Good Job!!!
hi bonnie
i remembered when you appeared on the viewand how babawawa did not think you have to much to talk about.you sure blew the wheels off that statement. i have watched babawawa for years on her show and i donot know anything about her(except the playboy bunny thing) but we sure know you and your are in a class all of your own we love you
there is not anyone on the view that can touch you, you're tops and people love you keep it going girl.
tom
Bonnie, I think your show is the best, it gets better everyday. You have such a big heart and it shows. Keep up the good work!
Bonnie, to start off with I love your show! There isn’t a day I miss it, unless I have class, but I wait till the last moment to go. Anyways to get to what I wanted to say, I was watching today and noticed Shawn White on the show. I watched him in some random competitions on T.V, and you would never be able to tell he has Tetrology of Fallot. I also have this condition and to see him up there just talking about how if you want to do it you can. Mine might have been a little more serious seeing how I now have a pacemaker and I have had it since I was 12. I am now almost 20yrs old. Even though I an almost 20 yrs old, I had my first roller coaster ride was I was 18, and my first air plane ride when I was 19. I agree with him soo much and I was excited when he said he had it because that only shows that even if you have a heart problem you can do something if you put your mind to it. To be honest I loved to see him on your show!! You made my day Bonnie!!! :D
~Kelsie Long~
Bonnie, I just had to let you know how WONDERFUL you are. I am 57 years old and just sit sometimes and cry when I watch you and your mom. My mother passed away in 2002 at the age of 77 and I still miss her so much. I always described her as " A Hoot" and your mom is so much like her. Just enjoy everyday God gives you with her as I know you do. Mom always made everyone around her feel better just by her presents and your mom does the same. I tape your show everyday and watch at the end of my day so I know I always end my day with a good feeling and a smile in my heart. I have a wonderful husband, three grown sons and the most wonderful precious grandson in the world but nothing replaces a mom!! Enjoy every moment!
I think you should make bobble heads of Bonnie and her mom. I would get them. You could even have her mom's bobble head quote words of advice, like push a button and she would say, "that's what I think you should do"
The Young wowmen that won the trip today underwent a lot the past year she beat Cancer. In the summer of 2008 Carrie was delivering her 5th Child and was found to have colon cancer. She had an operation and lost her colon to this dreaded illness. She had the support of her family and came away stonger than she has ever been. We are always looking out for our little girl and are thrilled that she will be able to take sometime and enjoy life.
