The band on the bridge in Paris is my father's! I write a blog www.asthebutterchurns.com - the story of a city girl who quit her job and moved to a rural farm in Washington - My dad, is the lead horn player - he's a Notre Dame graduate, film maker and jazz wonder. It's his band the "Riverboat Shufflers". They perform the streets of Paris, clubs, weddings etc. You can hear their music and see them perform as well as follow my father's exploits. - The grandkids all call him Grandpa Horn

Bonnie, I've been a long time fan and was so glad when you got your own talk show. But, I was really surprised and disappointed on how you reacted to the Jon & Kate story. Do you believe everything you read in a glossy rag? Not everyone has seen that story, and you seemed to imply to your audience that you think he was cheating, further spreading rumors. It's too soon to make a judgment on that especially since Kate had not even responded. You were also contradicting yourself about whether one should have friends of the opposite sex when one is married, yet you've been best friends with Don for years while you were married. Maybe I couldn't quite follow what you were saying because of all the rambling.

Anyways, we don't know everything about Jon & Kate and who their friends are. Jon is still a young man and probably spends more time with his kids than most fathers. I can understand him wanting to go out once in a while, but again I don't really know the situation. They're just a couple of ordinary people on TLC trying to raise their kids. They're not the Kardashians on E! Bonnie, I would have thought that you would think about the Gosselin kids, especially after having Kate on your show, before you would make such public criticisms. I hope you bring this topic up again only to apologize.

Bonnie we love your show. Your Mom, and her values are beautifully reflected in you and if you get as beautiful as your Mom you will be more than blessed. I treasure my Mom {Imogene Caperton }and every day is Mothers Day as far as I`m concerned and every opportunity I have to show my love is a gift I give to myself. Thanks for the good things you do and the compassion that you remind others to have toward their pets and to each other. We need you on television and I hope you stay on forever! Love and Happy Moms Day to you and your Mom.Sonja Caperton in Columbus ,Ohio

Bonnie,

I'm not happy with how you reacted to the "jon and Kate Puls 8" scandal. I think you are WAY off base. I don't condon Jon (or whatever happened) but this is celebrity.

I’ve known my husband for 29 years, dated for 3, and married for 20. We both have very close friends that are of the opposite sex. We both know the “other” friends and while we (individually) wouldn’t be friends with them, respect what our spouse sees in them.

I think that if you believe in your spouse/significant other, and have a true sense of self that you could be fine with it.

I have gone out to dinner with a member of the opposite sex, came home later than normal (and nothing did happen) and things were fine with both me and my husband. Again, 20 years this year. I would do nothing to hurt him, fell in love at first sight, and would not risk it bothering him in any respect.

He may not like my friends and I may not like his friends. His friends of the opposite sex are called “ex-wives” (although I do like them). And he has been in contact with them for quite a while.

I think it comes down to (mostly) how good you feel in your skin, how much you trust your partner, and how much you trust the relationship.

I’ve been unemployed for over six months and have watched you religiously every since. I relay your shows to husband with laughs and we both had the same reaction with the reaction today.

Yes, you can be in a relationship and have a (close) friend of an opposite sex with no ramifications.

I do love watching and I love how much you make me laugh and have saved Barney and Fred (Flintstone). Thanks.

I am an avid fan and DVR your show everyday. Todays show is the first that I have been disappointed with. I really was so suprised that Bonnie gave any airtime to such trash magazine covers like the one with Jon Gosselin. As a celebrity I would expect that Bonnie would take these trash magazines for what they are. I do not read this particular magazine and am shocked that Bonnie, after interviewing Kate Gosselin, would put this accusation on her show.

It is not right to treat Jon as guilty until proven innocent. With the attitude that "because they are on a reality show" that they deserve the scrutiny of the public and be publically held accountable to rumor an innuendo.

I pray that Jon and Kate continue to share their lives with their show because they inspire and are great role models. No person is perfect and shame on you and your staff for presenting this material on your show and giving it any creedence.

I use to have respect for Bonnie and her show but now you are no better than the trash magazines and trash shows that fill the media.

Just like Billy Ray Cirus said in an interview with Bonnie, there is enough negativity in this world. I thought this show was different. I am so disappointed that Bonnie would add to the negativity and sensationalism. Shame on you all.

Hi Bonnie, I watch your show almost every day and enjoy it very much. However; I am disappointed that YOU, being a nurse, have not acknowledged National Nurse's Day/Week at all !! I have been a nurse for over 35 years and have always felt that we never get the recognition that we deserve. I heard the advertisement that you would be recognizing National Teachers Week. Come on Bonnie, once a nurse, always a nurse.....give us some LOVE !!!!

Bonnie I LOVE YOUR SHOW! Why arent you on for 2 Hours a day?? Pick me for the Austrailia trip Bonnie and I'll take YOU WITH ME!!!

Bonnie I love your show..its so nice to see someone so down to earth and honest....and that their family is still so important to them.....keep up the good work....

Hi Bonnie - first of all I love your show - I record it on DVR everyday and watch after work. Today's first topic truly touched a sore spot with me. I agree that when a man cheats it's his decision to do so but I also have issue with women who KNOWINGLY begin a relationship with a man who is married or in a relationship with someone else. Women need to respect each other enough (and themselves) to make good choices. If more women refused to participate in illicit affairs maybe men wouldn't have such a candy store available to them! I say shame on them both!

Love ya Bonnie!

I am retired from last year and I look at your show every day... Keep on the good work.. It's realy funny when your mother in on..

See you tomorrow.

I love your show Bonnie. I was wondering if you will ever be taping the show in Chicago? I would love to attend one of your tapings with my Mom.

Re, Jon and Kate.....

Your comments on this, I feel, are not directed totally at this couple, but at the integrety of this man. There are 8 children and it's not easy. I totally agree with everything you said. It was presented appropriatly and in good taste. It's how you feel and whether they have issues or not, you were stating your values. I think your Mom would be proud. Gail.

Bonnie...I love your show, and how you put such care into what you say to people, to make them feel special, and that you genuinely appreciate them being on the show. You try to be a truthful, genuinely kind person, which is why this is hard to say... but, I feel you were irresponsible in showing a tabloid cover with the story about how Jon Gosselin cheated on his wife. I wouldn't exactly consider a tabloid newspaper a proper source of information. You talked like it was fact, instead of an allegation. It may come out that he did indeed cheat on Kate, but until that time, it was irresponsible to imply that to your audience. You are contributing to possible false rumors. I have always appreciated the fact that your show is about entertaining with good, truthful(except for the made up humorous aspects)stories. I am truly disappointed in your decision to approach the story about the Gosselins like you did.

Just a heartfelt thank-you for a beautiful tribute to Danny Gans, Bonnie. Re-airing his interview and concluding your show with his photograph and silence in his honor was a lovely and elegant farewell. You're beautiful for doing this. Thank you.

Hello from Carol in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Last fall, I retired after 30 years with same company, and this past March moved to Edmonton so that I could be close to my daughter and her husband, and of course, my grand-puppies, Elton & Penny. I really enjoy watching your show. You always bring a smile to my face. Keep up the great work. Is there any chance that you will be coming to a "big screen" close to us in the near future? Love your sense of humour. One of my dreams is to write and publish a children's series of books, I have started. Looking forward to visiting you and promoting my book(s)! By the way, your Mom is great. You are lucky to have her close by. My Mom passed away several years ago, and I miss her. I enjoyed your guests today. I am a huge Star Trek fan (Zachary makes such a great young Spock), and also Sam H., what a gentleman. I always encouraged my daughter to follow her dreams. She is very artistic, and pursued her dream of being a photographer. Amanda is in the midst of building her "Pet Photography" business. Dreams are so important, and it is so great when someone is there to share in them, and for encouragement. I am such a blessed Mom. Okay, I am babbling time to go. Take Care, Your Fan Carol from Canada

Another great show Bonnie, Tnx!!

bonnie, bonnie, bonnie-
please remain calm. You're getting upset over a glossy tabloid and a reality show (the last bastions of fact checking).
I agree with JC. When I do occasionally watch the show, my jaw gets sore from all the dropping it does.
Let's think happy thoughts.

Hi Bonnie! I love your show! And your Mom? She cracks me up! She is so loveable!

Did Zachary Quinto mean to look like Gilligan? (Gilligan's Island).

Bonnie,
Love the show, but today I was disappointed in the Jon & Kate comments. I have been married 35 years. In every marriage
there are ups and downs and give and take. We all argue, we all get upset with our spouse and they with us, but there is a level of respect for each other. I agree, when one makes a commitment to marriage there is to be trust and fidelity etc. However, you also mentioned self esteem. Have you watched the Jon &Kate show? Kate shows no respect for Jon as a husband or father. She is never happy with him and rarely says positive things to him - the negative outweighs the positive.

Have you seen the way Kate demeans Jon, the way she yells at him in front of strangers, tv audience, her children? The faces she makes behind his back. The way she makes snide comments about him during the show's interview segments. Always said like it's a cute joke with a laugh and a smile but it is sad to watch. Maybe, Jon doesn't feel as if he has self esteem and self worth. I'm not even sure if they went for counseling that Jon would be able to have an opinion. Kate steam rolls over him. It's a shame. I'm surely not condoning what he did if he in fact did it. However, like one of the other comments, there is always two sides to every story. And yes, sometimes, there is blame to be place on both sides.

It's sad to see any marriage go through this, especially in the public eye.

Hi Bonnie,
I love Jon and Kate plus 8, so all of this press has been hard for me to swallow. My issue isn't even the whole "opposite sex friend" thing. For me, if I was out of town leaving my children home, I would expect their father to be with them the whole time. If my husband was out of town, I wouldn't be leaving my kids to go out partying. That bothers me more than anything else. Now is it an inappropriate relationship? Not sure, but with Jon's public behavior this year, it makes me wonder if he's waiting for Kate to dump him. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the air.
