SHOW RECAP

Chevy Chase ("Community"): This guy has been making us laugh since he was one of the original cast members of "Saturday Night Live," through his National Lampoon "Vacation" movies -- and now in the new hit comedy, "Community." Don't miss it when this funny guy sits down with Bonnie.

Jennifer Morrison ("House"): Bonnie welcomes a fellow Chicagoan to the show. You know her as Dr. Allison Cameron on the most-watched show in the world, but did know she was once on the cover of "Sports Illustrated" with Michael Jordan?

Irwin Stovroff ("Vets Helping Heroes"): In recognition of Veteran's Day, Bonnie introduces you all to Irving. His charity raises money to provide assistance dogs to veterans at no cost. Hear about this special program and see how the work they're doing is helping those who have served our country.

NEXT: Tuesday, November 10 -- Dr. Wayne Dyer

On your great show today you showed a film of an injured vet getting horseback therapy. My 3 year old granddaughter who has cerebral palsy gets similar therapy at the Shea Center in San Juan Capistrano. It is helping her balance and developing core strength, and she loves it.

You may want to look at the center's website to see all the good they are doing.

Thanks again for your great show.

Dear Bonnie:

When did you say you were going to rerun Nov. 11th episode honoring our Veterans? I have been telling several people how meaningful this segment was & when watching the show on Thurs 11/12 you stated the show was going to be on again in Dec. I cried a happy cry all the way thru the show and wanted to share this with others. Thankful I am still employed, I tape your show everyday, so that I can enjoy it in the evening. After watching Thurs. episode I erased it before making note of the rerun date.

Your show is the best & would love to be a in the audience one day.

Truly yours,

jan

I absolutely loved your video for your "feel good moment of the day" (November 11th) and was so glad that it is posted on your website so that I could watch it and share it with my friends and family! My daughter misses my husband terribly when he's away at work and I just can't imagine what she'd do if he were protecting our country and gone for months at a time. It was sweet and touching and important to see what a tremendous service and sacrifice that our military men and women do for our country.

I have to tell you about something that is really funny on your show that you probably dont know about:

I tape days of our lives, right before your show (I also tape your show). But at the end od Days it goes past your promo, to just as Bonnie walks out and sits down.
YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE THE FUNNY FACES IT STOPS ON BONNIE.
You really should show this on your show. I am telling you it is hysterical. Go back to previous shows, if you can, it seems to always stop with Bonnie making the awfulless faces.
I would also like to say, I tried to enter your contest for the Cruise. But, could not enter after the date of the show. which was a disapointment (sp) .

Bonnie,
Your story about the week in nursing school and Mr. O'Brian was absolutely the BEST so far! I am a veteran nurse of 29 years, and plan to ask my boss to share the video(with your permission) with all our staff(ortho floor). It would be such an inspiration to our staff, as it is easy to lose focus on what's important in nursing, and to harden our hearts to our pts due to stress and staffing issues. It would be great for all nursing students as well!
Love ya Bonnie, God bless!

I love Bonnie and watch her everyday! I especially loved the story about Mr. O'Brien!! Made me cry! And today was especially touching about the Veterans and their stories! And of course you can't go wrong w/Chevy Chase!! Love you Bonnie!

Mizz Bonnie, Please please please could you permanently post the video of your story about Mr. O'Brian, which you did at the top of tuesdays show? I was crying so much I missed parts of it and would like to watch it again and again plus, I would also like to send it along to all my friends and my father who rarely says 5 words to me when I call, before saying, "here's your mother".
Much appreciated
your fan
John Di Fatta
P.S. How about having Bonnie Raitt on some time soon?

Dear Bonnie,
PLEASE don't ever stop the feel good moments at the end of your show. I just love them! What a great way to end your show everyday! I have always admire your work in show business, but I think you have found what you were meant to be, a talk show host. I just love your show, and I'm eating the food you are eating except for....pie of the week. I can't go out and buy a whole pie and just eat one piece...lol. Your hair is pretty and if you want to touch it we don't care! Thank you for giving me something to look forward to Monday thru Friday...your show!

I absolotly love bonnie and reliously watch her everyday. She truely makes my everyday. Bonnie is one of GOD'S ANGELS and I know she makes him proud. I had a comment about the contest, I had all my words ready and it would only let me put today's in. I did not know you had to put in day to day and I don't get on here everyday. Could you reexplain the rules? Again not to take away from Bonnie, she truely warms the heart. Thank you Sherry Lynn Smith-Edds(edddddds, not eds)

Oh, Bonnie, please stop doing stories that touch my heart. I can't take all that crying---from me! I have spent a couple of days veged out on the couch, sick, waiting for your show, then spending the time in tears. Seriously, I still have my dad, thank the Lord, but I appreciated all you had to say about your dad. My dad gets up everyday in a good mood. He wants to be the oldest living World War II veteran and it's a possibility because he was only 17 when the war ended and was on a troop train when it was announced, but technically he IS a veteran. I'm glad he has a goal still at almost 81!
My family often quotes one of your movie lines, "We're walking..."
Thanks for your great shows. Your show is not like the other talk shows and you seem to have different guests from the norm. I appreciate that.

I'd like to add my thans for sharing the story of your dad yesterday. It brought tears to my eyes and a warm feeling in my heart. My mother also died instantly from a heart attack, although she was much older than your dad was. I know how hard it is to let them go.
Today's show was also wonderful. My son has been in Iraq for 3 months and we worry about him and pray every day for the safety of all the men and women who put their lives on the line for our country. Thank you for doing such a good job supporting our troops!

Dear Bonnie,
You are a treasure in this world we live in. Everyday, you help us forget the bad, bring a smile to us. But today, what a day, in between the laughter, was tears. Tears of joy, graditude, surprise. You are truly a special soul, with the ability to bring out the good! Keep it up, girl!!

Thank you for a terrific Veteran's Day show! I know your friend Carrol O'Connor was a Merchant Marine, as was my Grandfather, "Papa" Harry G. Bingham. The heroic work the Merchant Marines have performed for the past 200 years are so admirable, but the MM's are the only non-sanctioned military section of the United States of America.
Yet, without the Merchant Marines, other branches of the service would not have received clothing, supplies, food, ammunition, and mail from The States, while at war.
I know my grandfather was a hero, and our family celebrated his service today (and everyday), it is so sad that most of the world do not recognize the Merchant Marine family are true veterans as well as true American Heros.
Thank you Bonnie and Staff! Your show is always terrific!
Scott Kjeer (pronounced "Keer"

Laureen and others I also missed Tuesday word of the day but it looks like the winners for Monday and Tuesday have already been posted so previous days can not be entered.

It was an absolutely beautiful tribute to veterans today. It made me laugh and made me cry. We are so lucky and priviledged to live in such a wonderful country.

Thank you for all the wonderful guests you have and the kids, and the animals. I really enjoyed the service dogs today.

Hey, did I somehow miss the word of the day today?

Hi Bonnie~
Well done! It's so nice to see real respect and gratitude toward our veterans. They truly deserve more than "Happy Veterans Day" and your show was a heartfelt and authentic tribute. Very impressive -- keep up your good work!

PS I donated "a hunnerd bucks" to the Vets Helping Heroes after watching your show.

Thank you for what you do and HOW you do it!

Bonnie -
Thank you for telling the story about your dad. I have been having a rough past few months. My 13 year old daughter is having chronic pain and migraines. Her doctors are working to figure out what is going on but I am having such a difficult time watching my daughter such pain. I started to question God and why this could happen to a young girl. Today I decided to let go and let God. I told him I knew he was there on our side, but I need something...a clear sign of his work (I know I should not have done this, but he knows I am so sad and worried!)...then I turn on your show and there he was telling me - through you!
So Thank You Bonnie for sharing your story! Thank God!

Dear Bonnie (and your whole show's staff):

You are a beautiful person, both inside and out. Although I am not a Veteran, I salute each and every one of you for honoring them. I, too, am so proud of our veterans, and their families, for all they do and for all they sacrifice. It was truly an honor to see you honor them. What you (and Sears) did for Corporal Alex and his family was indeed wonderful. I salute all our Veterans. God Bless him, every Veteran everywhere and you and your staff.....

I also love Chevy Chase. He is indeed such a funny man and commedian.

I just love your show, in general. I love to see all the different stars you have on your show, and the way you interact with the audience; and all the non-famous people you bring on the show for us to see and get to know. You are indeed one of a kind show. Funny, intertaining, insperational. What other show would have a Halloween show like yours. I loved it. Thank you.

Linda Eisele

I had to get my coffee and watch the entire show.
